Where is Ugojip near Express Bus Terminal?
Ugojip (우고집) is a beef BBQ restaurant in the basement of Banpo Shopping Town Building 5, 195 Sinbanpo-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It's close to Express Bus Terminal Station, so it's really easy to reach by public transit. You can enjoy good-quality beef here at a great price and in generous portions, so if you've been hunting for a Gotero (Express Bus Terminal area) restaurant, a family gathering spot or a place for a wedding invitation dinner, keep this one in mind!

How is the Ugojip menu set up?
The menu runs from the couple set, ideal for two, to the signature brisket samhap, and it's really well put together. You get a variety of cuts at reasonable prices, so I was excited before I even ordered. Besides the set menus you can order à la carte, and there are plenty of side dishes at fair prices too.
First time? Signature set. Just two? Couple set.
If it's your first visit, I'd recommend the signature set. It lets you try popular cuts in one go, from brisket to galbisal (rib meat), tosisal (chuck flap), salchisal (marbled chuck) and anchangsal (inside skirt), so it looked like a great choice for a bigger group.
There were two of us, so we ordered the couple set, and it was plenty for two.

Ugojip's basic table setting and the receipt review event
Once we sat down, neat side dishes that go well with the meat were set out. A fresh salad, scallion salad, myeongi namul (pickled wild greens) and assorted sauces came out tidily and brought out even more flavor in the beef. There's also an event where you get grill-it cheese as a free extra if you write a receipt review, so definitely join in!
Ugojip couple set beef: what order should you grill it in?
For the Ugojip couple set, start by grilling the usamgyeop (beef brisket belly). The meat and fat are nicely balanced, and a savory aroma spread the moment it hit the grill. The tender texture was very appealing.

Next we grilled the thick-cut galbisal and tosisal one after the other. Each cut comes with an explanation, along with fresh mushrooms, onion and zucchini, so you can fully taste the rich juiciness and clean flavor of the beef, and grilling it all is a lot of fun.

You put the meat and vegetables on the heated grill and cook them until golden. Beef turns tough easily if overcooked, but flipping it at the right time kept the juices locked in, and a deep flavor filled my mouth.

One bite topped with scallion salad and wasabi
I put tangy, spicy scallion salad and sharp wasabi on a piece of well-cooked beef and popped it in my mouth. The savoriness of the meat and the umami of the seasoning were in perfect harmony, and my chopsticks just wouldn't stop.
Brisket doenjang jjigae comes with the couple set
Order the Ugojip couple set and a brisket doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) comes along with it. It's packed with brisket and has a deep, rich broth. Be sure to try it!

Ugojip's receipt review perk: grill-it cheese

We also grilled the cheese we got from Ugojip's receipt review service on the grill until golden. Crispy outside and chewy and melty inside, it doubled the savoriness when eaten with the beef. Little extras like this really add to the satisfaction.
Is Ugojip good for family gatherings and wedding invitation dinners?
Today's meal was a total hit! Ugojip near Express Bus Terminal has easy access and excellent meat quality, and I'd come back 200%. With its clean interior, friendly service and good-value sets, I thought it was just right for a special family gathering or a wedding invitation dinner with friends. If you're looking for a great beef restaurant near Gotero, I really recommend giving it a visit!
