A village bus also runs there, so access is decent, and even walking, there are so many takeout spots, Mangnidan-gil, and Mangwon Market along the way that the walk flies by.

Picnic List Mangwon is, no exaggeration, about 15 seconds from the underpass. It's genuinely that close! The store interior isn't huge, so if you're in a group, I'd recommend having just one person go in to handle the rental. Being right in front of the underpass at Mangwon Han River Park gives it the best access to the park. There are tons of picnic rental shops in front of the underpass, but most people head to Picnic List — that's the real truth.

I visited Picnic List Mangwon through a Naver Reservation. Folks paying on the spot without a reservation looked pretty frazzled trying to pick and pay for rental items. How frazzled? I take most of the photos, but the crowd inside got so thick, all I managed to shoot were the return counter and the mats. It seems to get busy right around when the village bus arrives.

Inside, there's a whole display of rental items — board games, tripods, bubble makers, and more. Weekend afternoons can get crowded, so I'd definitely recommend booking ahead. If you book and show up during unmanned hours, you gather your own items; if staff are there, they'll pack everything for you.

The 3-combo set and add-ons: what was rented

I picked the 3-item combo set at Picnic List Mangwon and added extra rentals on top. I went back and forth between a parasol and a shade tent, but imagined a parasol collapsing and konking someone on the head, so I went with the shade tent.

A properly successful picnic at Mangwon Han River Park. Thanks to Picnic List Mangwon sitting right at the doorstep of the park, this picnic was a total win. Happiness and peace aren't far away — they're at Picnic List. There were plenty of other rental shops around, but Picnic List Mangwon had the most visitors by far, with even foreign tourists seeking it out first. I'd recommend it as a picnic rental shop at Mangwon Han River Park.
