Weekday evenings: expect sold-out cheesecakes
Blueberry, pistachio, walnut persimmon, mugwort red bean rice cake, mont blanc — the cheesecake lineup is genuinely huge, eye-catching if you're a cheesecake lover👀 We came late on a weekday evening and quite a few items were already sold out, which was a bit of a letdown😭
They just launched a hojicha choux milk tea topped with a whole choux pastry, apparently, so if you like choux, definitely order it. It was evening so caffeine felt a bit much, but I appreciated that caffeinated and decaf teas were clearly marked separately.

Mugwort red bean rice cake cheesecake, 9,200 won
This cheesecake sandwiches red beans between the layers and tops it all with mugwort cream cheese — the mugwort and cheese balance out beautifully. The rice cake (injeolmi) on top was chewy and delicious too❤️
Caramel fig pound cake, 6,800 won
Every bite of the caramel fig pound cake had a bit of fig and walnut for a great texture! The pound cake wasn't dry at all — nice and moist — and there's a subtle caramel aroma too👍
Black sesame latte, 7,800 won
The black sesame latte comes piled with a generous layer of nutty black sesame cream😋 Highly recommend it if you love nutty flavors! It's better if you don't stir it in👍
Seating and atmosphere across three floors
Something About Coffee gets really packed on weekends, but coming on a weekday evening, it felt a bit more relaxed. There's also a group table, so a party of 8 can still sit together👍
Something About Coffee has a cozy space spread across floors 1 through 3 plus an outdoor terrace, perfect for unwinding.
✔️ With floors 1 through 3 and a terrace, the place is much bigger inside than it looks from outside. The 2nd floor has the register, terrace access, and restrooms. Tables are arranged in a U-shape around the staircase.
Open the door on the 2nd floor and the terrace seating opens up. In weather like this, the terrace would be lovely😋
The 3rd floor also has plenty of space.
✔️ Water and cups are set out on every floor, which was convenient.
They also run a 20% discount on drinks from 12 to 1pm on weekdays, which would be great for anyone working nearby❤️
