Yongsan Station bingsu café with gâteau chocolat: HYBE Playground

Today I want to introduce a bingsu (shaved ice) spot near Yongsan Station and Sinyongsan Station haha. It's genuinely delicious and the space is huge, so it's such a great place to hang out!

Where HYBE Playground is and when it opens

HYBE Playground is located at 9-17 Hangang-daero 15-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and it's open daily from 11:00 to 24:00. The 2nd floor is the café, the 3rd floor is a lounge terrace, and the 4th floor is a rooftop.

This Yongsan Station dessert café, HYBE Playground, sits right next to Cheonman Hof! It's close to Sinyongsan too, and the colors are so bold it's super easy to find. It was kind of surreal realizing it's directly across from the actual HYBE headquarters!

Is there parking at HYBE Playground near Yongsan Station?

HYBE Playground apparently has limited use of the parking lot in front of the building. They say if you call ahead, they'll let you know if parking is available, so I'd recommend calling in advance to check :)

The free ice cream from the review event

HYBE Playground is currently running a review event where they give out ice cream. The ice cream is genuinely delicious, so I really recommend doing the review to get it!

Indoor seats and the rooftop at HYBE Playground

The inside of HYBE Playground has a lot of tables and is really spacious! There are also sofa-style chairs, so I could sit comfortably and chat, which was so nice ㅜㅜ

There's a rooftop too!!! Those cushions outside are seriously so comfy hahaha

Green grape ade, 7,000 won

The green grape ade is genuinely so refreshing!!! It's not too sweet, which is exactly my taste... a lot of drinks are so sweet they're almost off-putting, but this one was refreshing and I loved it.

Coffee gâteau chocolat cake, 9,500 won

They say it's a dense gâteau made with directly-pulled espresso, topped generously with coffee cream brewed from coffee!! It's genuinely so, so delicious... that dense yet soft taste that keeps coming back to mind... They said it was made to capture autumn feelings, and I really felt like I understood what autumn feelings taste like hahaha.

White peach bingsu, 26,000 won: how does it taste?

HYBE Playground's white peach bingsu is ₩26,000, and it comes with ice cream, red beans, and condensed milk. I ordered the white peach bingsu without knowing what it looked like, and when I saw it I was genuinely shocked — it looks delicious to literally anyone, right...?

It comes with ice cream, red beans, and condensed milk together, and the ice cream genuinely tastes like Sanghasangchang Farm ice cream, if that makes sense — the milk flavor is so rich, it's really delicious and pairs so well with the shaved ice ㅜㅜ

The white peach bingsu is seriously!! It's refreshing, sweet, and has such a rich milk flavor that I kept eating spoon after spoon. The white peach itself was genuinely tangy and sweet, and so delicious?! They didn't just make the first few bites tasty — there's a jam-like layer underneath, so it stays delicious all the way to the last bite!!
