Cafe Pips (카페핍스) is a dessert café 148 m from Exit 2 of Bucheon City Hall Station, about a 3-minute walk. It has no parking of its own, so you'll need the Bucheon City Hall public car park or the public car park next to the City Council.

I took a trip around Bucheon, stopped by the nearby E-Mart, and then looked for a café. I found Cafe Pips near Bucheon City Hall Station, with lots of desserts and a nice vibe, and went straight there. The exterior looks neat and cozy, so it seemed lovely even before I walked in. It's close to the station so it's easy to reach, though there's no parking space.

The inside of Cafe Pips is wood-toned, clean and warm. There are round tables, regular tables and a bar table with outlets, so it works for chatting with a friend or for working on a laptop alone.

The interior is done in wood tones, and the tables and chairs are neat and comfortable, so it's good for quiet conversation. Besides round and regular tables there's also a bar table, which looked great for visiting alone. The bar table area even has outlets, which makes it a good café for laptop work in Bucheon.

There were framed pictures on the walls too, which made the mood even nicer.

On one side there was barley tea, and I really love barley tea! I was so happy that Cafe Pips has it out by default.

What desserts does Cafe Pips have?

The Cafe Pips americano (hot, ₩4,500) has a clean taste, so it pairs well with Basque cheesecake.

I tried the hot americano first. It's a good pick for enjoying the true flavor of coffee, so I ordered it to go with dessert, and taking a sip after each bite of Basque cheesecake felt clean and nice.

What does the signature Pips latte taste like?

The Pips latte (₩5,500) is Cafe Pips's signature drink and can only be ordered iced. It's made with roasted almond blend milk and is said to taste nutty with a subtle sweetness.

And now the Pips latte I'd been curious about! It could only be ordered "only ice." It's the café's signature, and I can't not order a signature, haha. How does the chocolate Basque cheesecake taste?

The Cafe Pips chocolate Basque cheesecake (₩6,500) combines rich chocolate with the dense, thick texture of Basque cheesecake. It was softer than it looked and went well with coffee.

And the chocolate Basque cheesecake I ordered as dessert! Just coffee felt like a shame, so I picked one, and the chocolate and cheesecake combo went well with coffee. With each bite I could taste the rich chocolate and the dense feel of the Basque cheesecake together, and I loved it. At first glance I didn't expect it to be this soft, but the texture was great once I tried it.

I came to Cafe Pips while looking for a quiet place for coffee near Bucheon City Hall Station. The atmosphere was lovely, and the drinks and desserts were delicious.
