I go shopping at Starfield Suwon a lot 🏃🏻 While I was out shopping this time, I suddenly craved a really creamy carbonara, so I headed to Dalmatian Starfield Suwon on the 1st floor.

Dalmatian is on the 1st floor of Starfield Suwon, so it's super convenient to swing by for a meal while shopping~ Parking is always 5 hours free at Starfield.

Starfield is so huge that it can be hard to find a store on your first visit, but if you come in through Gate 3 (at the end of the 1st-floor stores), it's right there on the left, so it's easy to spot.

What is the restaurant like? Dog tables and pet stroller storage

Walking into Dalmatian Starfield Suwon, it feels more like a brunch restaurant or café than a typical mall eatery~ The space is bigger than expected and the ceilings are high, giving it an open feel! The tables are also spaced fairly generously, so it was nice for a slow, leisurely date meal too.

The interior has a warm wood-tone feel, with Dalmatian-motif touches scattered around, which fit the restaurant's name nicely.

There are dedicated tables for dogs, and a storage area near the entrance for dog strollers — it really felt like they'd thought things through as a pet-friendly restaurant. Even though the dog-friendly aspect stands out, the space itself is clean and has a nice atmosphere, so it didn't feel awkward at all visiting without a dog.

It's great for a casual meal while shopping, and since the vibe is bright and pretty, it's also a good spot for a date at Starfield Suwon.

You order from a tablet at your table. Nice touch — they even have hand cream there~

Every single item on the menu happened to be exactly the kind of combo I love, so I was excited the moment I ordered — and to cut to the chase, all three dishes were satisfying.

Before the main dishes arrived, we got some bread. It was warm and delicious ❣️

Beef steak salad, 23,000 won

First up, the beef steak salad! If you're watching your blood sugar you gotta at least pretend to eat some greens haha. Despite being called a 'salad,' it's not just light vegetables — there's steak in it, so it was heartier than I expected.

You get fresh vegetables and meat together in one dish, so it's a great pairing to order alongside something heavier like pasta or risotto.

Eating just meat can get a bit heavy, but with crunchy vegetables mixed in between bites, your palate stays fresh 😀

If you're ordering multiple dishes, I'd recommend adding a salad like this one.

Squid ink risotto, 23,000 won

The squid ink risotto caught my eye the moment it arrived, just from the look of it. There's a whole squid sitting on top, so it looked quite generous and appetizing.

The squid itself wasn't thin or chewy — it had a plump, springy texture that went really well with the risotto. That deep, savory flavor is really appealing.

What I especially liked was that the whole bowl of rice was infused with a rich seafood flavor! The savory taste of the squid ink combined with an oceanic aroma, so every bite had a deep umami hit.

The dish I came for: carbonara, 20,000 won

And the dish I was most looking forward to that day was, of course, carbonara — the original king of rich and indulgent. Honestly, even before heading to Starfield that day, I'd been craving a really creamy carbonara haha.

The sauce wasn't runny at all — it was thick enough to properly cling to the noodles, and the savory cream combined with the salty bacon kept me reaching for more.

There were big chunks of button mushroom and bacon mixed in too, which was fun to bite into here and there, and the sauce itself had a deep flavor — I'd recommend this one to anyone who likes rich, creamy pasta!

Lemonade and grapefruit ade

Since we'd ordered creamy pasta and risotto, I chose something refreshing to drink. The lemonade was sweet and tangy, good for resetting your palate between bites, and the grapefruit ade's distinctive tart-bitter flavor paired well with the western dishes.

There's a corner where you can help yourself to water, pickles, and jalapeños.

Is Dalmatian worth a visit even without a dog?

Being able to bring your dog along is the standout feature, but even without one, this is a great place to visit whenever you're craving pasta, risotto, or steak.

Being inside Starfield is also a plus, since you can combine your meal with shopping or a café stop before or after.
