Deoksugung dinner date for braised pork belly and eggplant: Huhugwan
Huhugwan is a Chinese restaurant in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 2nd floor near Deoksugung Palace, a 1-minute walk from City Hall Station exit 10. After touring the palace, the writer and her boyfriend ordered eggplant fritters for ₩18,000 and dinner-only braised pork belly for ₩28,000 with Tsingtao draft beer, plus 3 pieces of mini mianbaoxia from a review event. Both the crispy-outside-soft-inside eggplant and the tender pork belly made for a satisfying evening.
