On a date day in Yeonnam-dong with my girlfriend! Yeonnam-dong has so many good restaurants that we spent ages deciding where to go, and in the end we ended up at a place called Hôtel de Couture.
They had everything from pasta to steak to egg in hell, so it looked like a great spot for the two of us to order a bunch of dishes to share. And honestly, from the photos, the vibe of the place looked pretty great, plus it was close to the boutique and café we were planning to visit — so we thought, let's give this a try haha.
Where is Hôtel de Couture, and where do you park?
Hôtel de Couture doesn't have its own parking lot, so you'll want to use the nearby Yeonnam-dong public parking lot!
The red-brick building from the street
Hôtel de Couture, a great spot for a Yeonnam-dong dinner date, is on the second floor of a pretty red-brick building you'll come across while wandering the alleys. There's another shop on the first floor, and Hôtel de Couture is upstairs, so just follow the stairs up.

What is the dining room like inside?
Open the door and a cozy wood-toned counter and kitchen area greet you first. The overall mood is warm and inviting — I thought it made for a really nice date spot.
The tables are spaced comfortably apart too, so it's easy to chat without feeling cramped.
It was busy with lots of customers at lunchtime, but it never felt loud or crowded!
In one corner of the restaurant there's a space decorated with wine glasses, colorful fresh flowers, and wine bottles — full of atmosphere.
The owner's careful eye for interior design really shows in every corner.
The fridge had wine discount info, side menu items, and even country-of-origin labels all laid out clearly, which I found easy to read!
The menu and QR ordering at the table
At Hôtel de Couture, a great restaurant for a Yeonnam-dong date, you check the menu and order comfortably through a QR code placed at each table. The lineup was really packed — everything from pasta, risotto, and steak to egg in hell and French toast.
We spent a long time deciding what to eat, and ended up ordering the following three dishes.

How was the mortadella lemon butter pasta?
First out was the mortadella lemon butter pasta. Just the look of it — bright lemon slices, soft mortadella ham, and a generous pile of fresh arugula — was already making my mouth water.
The rich, savory butter sauce was lifted by a fresh, zesty lemon aroma, giving it a clean, refined taste with none of the heaviness.
Twirl it up on your fork and take a bite — the bright lemon scent spreads through your whole mouth!
House steak with snow-cheese waffle fries
Next came the house steak, plated neatly alongside crispy fried onion rings and waffle-shaped fries.
Doesn't that lightly cooked, juicy rare-to-medium beef with its rich red color look absolutely delicious? This was the dish Loro and I were looking forward to most!
Dish after dish arriving made the table look richer and more impressive by the minute!
Taking a bite of steak topped with the tangy whole-grain mustard, the meat's rich juices and tender texture filled my mouth.
Dipping the crispy fried onion rings in a little ketchup was pretty fun too. The waffle-shaped hash brown fries, topped with a snowy pile of cheese, were crisp outside and moist inside — a real standout among standouts.
Egg in hell with toasted bread
Last up at Hôtel de Couture, a great spot for a Yeonnam-dong date, was the egg in hell, still bubbling and hot when it arrived. Rich tomato sauce topped with soft egg and fresh basil leaves was seriously appetizing.
There was also golden, savory toasted bread served on the side for dipping into the egg in hell. And with that, our perfectly European-style spread was complete!
Piling the sweet-spicy tomato sauce and egg on top of the crispy bread was fantastic.
Final verdict on lunch at Hôtel de Couture
From the interior that felt like stepping into a small restaurant somewhere in Europe, to the visuals and flavors of every dish, Hôtel de Couture is a Yeonnam-dong date spot worth visiting. The bright lemon butter pasta, the juicy house steak, and the warm egg in hell were all satisfying — Loro and I both walked away having enjoyed a perfect meal.
It's also close to some pretty cafés and boutiques, making it a great fit for a Yeonnam-dong date route. If you're looking for a date restaurant in Yeonnam-dong with a great vibe and food that truly delivers, I highly recommend stopping by Hôtel de Couture!
