If you go looking for good eats in Jamsil, Manjok Ohyang (만족오향족발) is a jokbal place you'll run into at least once. It's been famous for ages, and I tried it last year and it was seriously good! The takeout quality is great too, so it's perfect for grabbing jokbal to bring to Jamsil Baseball Stadium haha.

Every table at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch has a partition, so eating with your group feels comfortable. It's not a flashy space, but you can feel the steadiness of a restaurant that has welcomed customers for a long time.

The well-kept interior, the tidy layout, and a row of celebrity autographs on one wall made me trust the place from the first impression! A Jamsil jokbal spot where liveliness and comfort coexist!! Even with customers constantly coming and going, the restaurant never felt chaotic~

The menu at Manjok Ohyang Jokbal Jamsil Sincheon Branch includes jokbal, bossam (boiled pork wraps), fire-grilled spicy jokbal, cold-platter jokbal, half-and-half jokbal, jokbal-bossam combos, fire jokbal-bossam combos, chili-garlic jokbal and chili-garlic bossam, plus tray noodles, boiled dumplings, steamed egg, rice balls, seafood chive pancake and seafood kimchi pancake. You can cover both a meal and drinking snacks!

Basic side dishes

Radish salad, pickled radish wraps, white kimchi, garlic, ssamjang and salted shrimp!! Side dishes made for jokbal, matched to jokbal! Even if you get takeout, they pack all the extra sides, which is great!

Do you get tteok-mandu-guk when you dine in?

If you eat in at Manjok Ohyang, they give you a pot of tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake and dumpling soup) each! You boil it right at the table and scoop it up~~ One spoonful of the hot broth and my stomach felt soothed!

The beef bone broth wasn't harsh, with a clean, mild savoriness! Plenty of chewy rice cakes and soft dumplings were in there, so it kept us comfortably full while we waited for the main dish!

Is the extra-large jokbal enough for four?

The extra-large size at Manjok Ohyang was generous enough that four people had no shortage. The famous jokbal of Jamsil Baseball Stadium! Being extra-large, it has an overwhelming presence!! The glossy shine really stirs up the appetite and made my mouth water haha.

The portion was so big that even four of us didn't run short! The salty seasoning isn't overdone, so the clean, mild flavor of the jokbal itself comes through! Both the meat on the bone and the lean meat passed!!

Texture of the skin and lean meat

The skin at Manjok Ohyang is chewy without being sticky, and the lean meat was surprisingly moist and tender, so so good~ Above all, it wasn't dry at all! It goes really well with the cabbage that comes with it!!

Eaten with salted shrimp or in a wrap, the jokbal showed another side of its charm!! After a while of getting delivery, eating hot jokbal at the restaurant is just great haha.
