Why I got an inner conch piercing in Jamsil as the weather cooled

Simkung Piercing Jamsil (심쿵피어싱 잠실점) is a piercing shop in the Jamsil Station underground mall, and I went to get my first inner conch piercing. When it was blazing hot, getting a new piercing felt like a bit much, so I kept putting it off. Now that it's nicely cool and aftercare should be easier, I looked up piercing shops in Jamsil and ended up at Simkung Piercing~

It's in the Jamsil Station underground mall, so it was easy to find, and inside there was a price list and examples of piercings on display. I came to try my first inner conch. My ears are small and lie flat overall, so my biggest worry was that the piercing wouldn't even be visible from the front, ugh.

How many piercing types does Simkung Piercing Jamsil have?

They have a really huge range. There are small basic cubic zirconia studs, statement designs like hearts, stars and butterflies, clean styles in silver or black, and flashy colors like pink and purple. The sizes vary a lot too, so it's easy to pick what suits your taste, hehe.

From elegant basic pearls and cubics to trendy, cute designs like these! There are lots of piercing shops in the Jamsil Station underground mall, but I think Simkung Piercing has the most variety, haha. If you like browsing lots of designs before choosing, it's a fun place to look around! With so many options I agonized for a long time, then decided to swap my existing piercings too, all in a light sky-blue tone.

There were also lots of unusual designs, like these chain styles and diagonal ones. I've wanted a chain style like that, but I failed a few times because I didn't take care of them well, ugh. Next time, when I'm mentally ready, I'll try again at Simkung Piercing!

Simkung Piercing Jamsil has plenty of accessories besides piercings, like necklaces and bracelets. There are casual silver-look pieces, ones with beads or color accents, and even 14K items, so it looked like a good place to drop by just to browse accessories even if you're not getting pierced.

Small, flat ears: will an inner conch show from the front?

The shop also has an ear-shape sample board, which made it easy to compare which design looks good in which spot. I told the owner I wanted an inner conch that's clearly visible from the front, and after looking at my ear shape, they picked just the right spot.

I was a little nervous since it had been a while since my last piercing, but it was over in an instant, lol. The owner was kind, and it was quick and hurt less than I expected, which I loved. My ears are small and flat, so if the spot had been even slightly further inside, I thought the piercing wouldn't show from the front, but once it was done, the placement was really spot on!!

The inner conch looks pretty from the front, and it isn't too far out, so it doesn't catch when I put in earphones. I loved that. When I was searching for a place to get pierced in Jamsil, I wanted somewhere that looks carefully at placement, and this was what satisfied me most.

The whole ear in a light sky-blue tone

Swapping my existing piercings to a light sky-blue tone made the overall vibe match the new inner conch, so it looked even prettier, haha. I only had piercings on my earlobe and outer rim, so the middle always felt empty, and now it's filled in and feels complete. I'm so happy, lol.

My first inner conch: do they explain aftercare too?

When I told them at Simkung Piercing Jamsil it was my first inner conch, they didn't just pierce and send me off; they explained aftercare in detail.

They even told me how to handle it if a bump (piercing granuloma, or "salttwi" in Korean) forms, so even though it's a new spot, aftercare should be much easier.
