Handmade burger lunch in Icheon: wasabi shrimp burger at Gladyburger

I'd been craving a burger lately, so I went to Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch, one of my favorite Icheon spots!! I go there often, haha. Franchise burgers are fine, but sometimes you want a handmade burger where they care about everything from the patty to each ingredient. I was looking for a place that's filling and tasty, and it was really satisfying even as a lunch!!! If you're wondering what to eat for lunch in Icheon, here's my honest Gladyburger review.

Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch: hours and parking

Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch is open every day from 11:00 to 21:00, with last order at 20:30. You can park free for 1 hour in the lot behind the restaurant.

Location and parking registration

Gladyburger is in the Jungri District of Icheon, near Icheon City Hall. There's a parking lot behind the shop, so I parked there. You have to register your parking to get the 1 hour free, so keep that in mind!!

Is Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch good for a date?

The interior feels like you're abroad, so it suits a date meal too. I'm amazed by the inside every time I come in. The decor is pretty, and it puts me in a good mood each visit, haha. It was raining that day, but the inside was still bright!

What's at the self bar

The Gladyburger self bar had napkins, knives, forks, small plates, straws, onion pickles, hot sauce, ketchup, water and blankets. Oh, and even hair ties. Nice touch, boss!

How to order at Gladyburger and the combos we got

You order at the kiosk by the entrance! We got the Wasabi Whole Shrimp Burger combo and the Classic Cheese Burger combo. The combo drink was Sprite, and for the fries we chose one original and one onion.

Original fries vs. onion fries

The Wasabi Whole Shrimp Burger is definitely thicker and plumper, right? And compare the original and onion fries too, haha. The original fries were fried crisp, crunchy outside and moist inside, perfect with a burger. The saltiness was just right, so I kept grabbing more. A sip of soda, a bite of fries, then the burger, and that made a filling meal.

How does the Gladyburger Classic Cheese Burger taste?

The Gladyburger Classic Cheese Burger was a back-to-basics burger with a beef patty, melted cheese, lettuce and tomato, and that made it even more satisfying. The beef patty was full of juice, and the cheese melted smoothly and went really well with it. Fresh lettuce and tomato added great texture, and the overall balance was excellent. It really let you feel the rich flavor that's special to handmade burgers, haha. This is the taste you think of the moment someone says burger!!! The textbook burger.

How does the Gladyburger Wasabi Whole Shrimp Burger taste?

As the name says, the Wasabi Whole Shrimp Burger has a big whole shrimp patty, and the springy texture the moment you bite in was really good. The wasabi sauce on top keeps it from feeling greasy and finishes clean, so I kept reaching for more. The wasabi isn't strong, so it's easy to eat, and it seems to bring out the shrimp's mild flavor, so the combination was great, haha. It's my favorite item, and the shrimp has a more upscale taste than at other burger places!

Above all, I could feel the ingredients were fresh the whole time. The bun was moist and the vegetables crunchy, so the overall quality was high, and the patty wasn't dry either, so I enjoyed it down to the last bite, haha. I could definitely feel the charm of a handmade burger, which is different from a franchise burger!

Gladyburger Icheon Jungri District branch is a good place to visit on days when you want to fill up or just crave a tasty burger. The menu is easy to enjoy even at lunchtime, so I think it would suit an office lunch or a weekend date meal too, haha.

I could enjoy both the different charm of the Wasabi Whole Shrimp Burger and the textbook taste of the Classic Cheese Burger, so it was a satisfying meal, haha. I want to try the other signature items next time, so I'll definitely return, and I recommend it with confidence!!!
