10-piece Hot Crunch chicken at a Songdo outlet fry shop: Angry Potato
In short
Angry Potato Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo Branch is a fried potato and chicken shop on basement level 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo in Yeonsu, Incheon, right in front of the food court. A hungry break from shopping meant 10 pieces of Hot Crunch Chicken (26,000 won), a whole mozzarella cheese stick (4,000 won) and Angry potato chips in size M (5,000 won), and although all three are fried, the textures kept shifting between crispy, chewy and juicy. I was hunting for good eats at the Songdo Hyundai Outlet and found today's snack. Even the name sounds a little bit mad.

Angry Potato, Songdo branch. I wondered what was so angry about it, and then I saw: they fry their potatoes extremely crispy.

Where is Angry Potato Songdo?
Angry Potato Songdo is on basement 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, right in front of the food court. I stopped by because I got hungry while shopping at the outlet.
Walk around the food court and the smell of frying stops you in your tracks. Then I looked at the menu and thought: ah, the diet and I are parting ways for today.
Three dishes we ordered at Angry Potato
We picked just three things.
- Hot Crunch Chicken, 10 pieces (one whole chicken)
- Whole mozzarella cheese stick
- Angry potato chips, size M
Today's theme is just one thing.

Crunch.
Hot Crunch Chicken, 10 pieces for ₩26,000: how does it taste?
Angry Potato's Hot Crunch Chicken comes as 10 pieces (one whole chicken) for ₩26,000. It's boneless drumstick meat, crispy outside and tender inside, with a mild kick of spice. Okay, let's dig in! Chicken first.

I opened the box and, oh... the coating already looks seriously crunchy. With food like this you can't take forever on photos. Fried food waits for no one. I grabbed a piece right while it was fresh.
One bite. Crunch! The sound comes from the outside first, then the tender drumstick meat follows. It was just right. A little bit spicy-ish.
Crispy outside, soft inside. It's not chicken where you only chew thick batter; you feel the chicken inside too. And best of all, it's boneless, so it's easy. No picking up bones, no tearing and scraping, just grab and bite. That's what you want from a snack while shopping.
Pick it up, eat, grab another. Before you know it the 10 pieces might vanish, or there might be some left, and if so, happily pack them up and take them home. Chicken is good even when it's cold.
And of course chicken needs sauce. Plain, it's crispy and clean-tasting. Dipped in sauce, it's a bit richer.

Alternating between the two, it's the same chicken but my hand kept going back.
Whole mozzarella cheese stick, ₩4,000: why you have to eat it right away
The whole mozzarella cheese stick is ₩4,000, crispy outside with soft, stretchy cheese inside. It showed up suddenly while I was eating chicken, and this one must be eaten the moment it arrives. Why? Because cheese won't wait for you.
One bite: crispy outside, soft inside. And the cheese stretches... and stretches. It's a different kind of fun from the chicken's crunchy coating. Switching from chicken to cheese stick totally changes the texture in your mouth. It's savory and soft, and eaten warm, the chewy quality of the cheese really comes through.
Personally, I think this kind of item is better shared one each when you're with a group, rather than ordering just one.
“Who wants a cheese stick?”
And every hand shoots out. That's the kind of menu item it is.
Angry potato chips M, ₩5,000: crunch that lives up to the name
Today's name-earner: Angry potato chips, size M, ₩5,000. Angry right in the name. But when you taste them, you get why they're angry. Because they're crunchy.

I picked up a chip and bit in without thinking. Crunch. Second bite. Crunch. My hand just moves on its own. It's a different kind of fun from bagged chips. There's the savory flavor of freshly fried potato, and eaten warm, the crunch is definitely alive. They're salty but you also taste the plain flavor of the potato itself.
Chicken, then chips. Cheese, then chips. Chicken again. Chips again. At this point I can't tell whether the chips or the chicken is the main. As long as it's tasty, who cares.
What happens when you eat chicken, cheese stick and chips together?
This time we ordered Hot Crunch Chicken + whole mozzarella cheese stick + Angry potato chips. All three are fried, but the fun of eating each is slightly different. The chicken is crunchy and juicy, the cheese stick is crunchy and chewy, and the chips are thin and crispy.
So the texture keeps changing. Crunchy. Chewy. Crunchy. Juicy. Crunchy again. A combo like this is pretty dangerous when you're hungry from shopping. You order thinking, "just a light snack," and then while eating it's "Oh? There's one chicken left?" "Oh? Chips left too?" and you keep grabbing.
Is it good as a snack while shopping at Songhyeona?
Angry Potato Songdo was a good snack when a proper meal felt like too much during shopping at Songhyeona (Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo). Time flies when you shop at the outlet. One lap, browsing, another lap. Then you slowly get hungry. And sometimes a full meal every time feels like too much.
That's when a menu like this is perfect. Basement 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, right in front of the food court. The location is convenient and the menu is familiar, so it's not hard to choose. Chicken lovers get chicken. Potato lovers get potato. Cheese lovers get a cheese stick. Each can pick one, or you can order several and share like we did. So I thought it would work for people looking for a Songhyeona snack too.
A takeout combo that works for watching football
“This would be perfect while watching football, right?”
That thought popped up mid-meal. A piece of chicken in hand, a chip, a stretchy cheese stick. Add a beer or a drink, and it's a great setup for watching a match at home.

Especially on a day when you're watching a national team match together, 10 pieces of chicken, one potato item and one cheese stick would keep your hands busy the whole time. That said, the best moment for fried food is right when it comes out. If you take it away, eating it as soon as possible, rather than leaving it sitting, is the way to enjoy the crunch.
Angry Potato Songdo: my verdict
The conclusion is simple. Angry Potato Songdo is a good place to go when you think, "I want something crunchy. I want something chewy too."
Of the three, the Hot Crunch Chicken played the proper main role, the cheese stick added fun along the way, and the Angry potato chips were the snack you keep reaching for. Together it's quite a satisfying combo. Maybe because texture matters a lot to me in food, the feeling of crunch! stretch— crunch crunch! is what stays in my memory.
If you're hunting for a good bite at the Songdo Hyundai Outlet and want something not too heavy, or you're hungry from shopping and want to grab something, Angry Potato Songdo is right in front of the food court on basement 1 of Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo. Do drop by. Don't get angry, though.
