It had been a while since I'd been to Gyeongbokgung Station. A Seochon date with my angel! We went to Wine Stein Seochon, a really pretty restaurant that's a café by day and a wine bar by night.

Where is Wine Stein Seochon, and what are the hours?
Wine Stein Seochon is at 9-2 Pirun-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 3rd floor. It's open 11:00-23:00 every day with no days off. You can walk there from Exit 2 of Gyeongbokgung Station.

What's the atmosphere inside Wine Stein Seochon?
Inside Wine Stein Seochon, the windows are floor-to-ceiling all around so you can see the mountain outside, and one side is a prop shop area with wine and small goods on display. The moment I walked in I couldn't help gasping. Why? It's. So. Pretty. Wow, is this the Seochon vibe...? I was kind of overwhelmed.
First, the windows run all the way around, so you can see Inwangsan. It is Inwangsan, right? Probably. And on one side there's wine that seems to be for sale on display, plus a prop shop!

The Lunch Club at Wine Stein Seochon has three sets, A, B and C, each with a drink: an Americano or cola/cider. That day we had Lunch Club sets A and B.

My first proper Seochon date
A Seochon date from a host who is suspiciously in love with Jongno! I think this was the first time I've properly eaten and gone to a café in Seochon like this, so the day was super special for me. Doing anything for the first time is exciting..><
Ah, but Seochon really is so good. There's so much shopping, tons of pretty prop shops and stationery shops, and since lots of places close on Mondays, I went all in on the ones that were open. I'll post about that on my blog bit by bit.. The day before meeting the organizer, I dug through Instagram and YouTube like crazy. And I was so proud because she really loved it. How excited was she? The word that came out of her mouth was

The drink for set B was cola ><
Set A came with an iced Americano. The organizer said the iced Americano was really tasty.

Old iPhones definitely have killer vibes. I should carry the iPhone 8 around more often.
When is Wine Stein Seochon quiet?
Wine Stein Seochon is quiet right after opening, and café customers fill up once lunchtime comes. I went in 30 minutes after opening and there was almost no one, then at lunchtime lots of café customers showed up. Knew it!

Is Wine Stein Seochon a good first stop for a Seochon date?
Wine Stein Seochon was the starting point of our Seochon date course that day, and I really felt the Seochon vibe right from Wine Stein. You just feel it, okay. That day I fell in love with Seochon... Until now I went to Anguk Station, meaning Bukchon, super often, but Seochon has its own huge charm too. I need to come to Seochon more, haha.

Wine Stein Seochon sells wine, and has lots of wine accessories and just cute small goods. Ahh, a restaurant with such a pretty prop shop, how could I not come~~ Beautiful café...
I took mirror shots in front of a beautiful mirror too. Ah, it's so pretty here, really.. so nice… I got them all done before the crowds came, haha.
The owner and staff were really kind too, and I'd definitely visit again!!
A gift of sunflowers
The organizer gave me a sunflower gift and even wrote me a postcard letter 😭😭😭😭 I'm touched. I really love sunflowers, and thinking about it, I've never once been given sunflowers in my whole life. But my angel gave me some. Aaaaah 🥹🥹🥹 I put them in a vase when I got home. Love you.
How does the Wine Stein Seochon Lunch Club taste?
The Lunch Club at Wine Stein Seochon was sooo delicious. Ordering sets A and B was a great call!!! It felt like healthy food~~ Lately I've realized Korean food is the thing that makes me gain the most weight.. ahem.
