Daenghaus&Bingsuking is a dog-friendly café in Jung-gu, Daegu, and it turned out to be a place you can visit even without a dog, like me. It was the weekend, the weather was great, and staying home felt like a waste, so I headed to this spot that everyone says is hot right now! A friend with a dog gave it a huge thumbs up, and once I got there I totally understood why she raved about it.
Where is Daenghaus&Bingsuking?

Daenghaus&Bingsuking is at 95-2 Jungang-daero 81-gil, Jung-gu, Daegu. It's a grand standalone building that the café uses from top to bottom, so I spotted it at a glance from far away.
How does parking work at Daenghaus?

The Seomun Yakryeong public parking lot is right in front of Daenghaus, so parking was one less worry. It's paid on weekdays and free on weekends, but it's such a hot spot that the lot fills up fast on weekends, so a bit of a parking scramble is a must.
Inside this Daegu dog-friendly café

Daenghaus&Bingsuking runs a dog kindergarten, a hotel and even a grooming salon, all in one building. I wondered whether this was a café or a cultural complex, the scale of this Daegu dog-friendly café was that huge. It's an all-in-one care space for dogs, so maybe that's why it's so big!!

The first floor, right through the door, is wide open and feels amazingly airy. The space itself is huge and there are plenty of big, plush sofa seats, so you can stay for a long time without your back aching one bit. So comfy.

There are lots of so-so dog cafés out there, but the owner seems to have put a lot of thought into the interior here!

All around the space, cute little houses are set up for dogs to relax in. While their owners have tea, the dogs can rest as comfortably as if they were at home, without worrying about anyone's side-eye.

You all know you have to read the house rules before going in, right? The manners guide is written out in detail for the dogs' safety and a pleasant environment, so read it carefully and be a considerate visitor!!

Our order came out, and it passed the looks test right away.
How do the Jolly Pong latte, tomato juice and mini choux taste?

The Jolly Pong latte is blended with the cereal itself, so it was really nutty and rich. The tomato juice wasn't artificially sweet either, just fresh and cold.

The choux I ordered for dessert is packed with cream that's cold like ice cream, so it's a summer must-have! It was also huge, which I loved.
Can you see dogs here without bringing your own?
I went to Daenghaus&Bingsuking without a dog, and thanks to the staff's kindness I got to meet the kindergarten puppies. Since I hadn't brought a dog, I carefully asked a staff member whether I could see the dogs at the hotel on the second floor. They said the dog kindergarten was in session and, if I didn't mind, they would bring a few of the kids out to show me. I was so touched.

The puppies were cute enough to shatter the earth, way over the cuteness limit. Waddling around with their tails wagging, they were pure healing just to look at.. it felt like all my stress vanished at once!!!!

The kindergarten kids all had such lovely personalities. Other customers were playing with the dogs so nicely too, and I found myself wanting to leave my Cookie here as well..
Outdoor dog pool and bathing area

Outside Daenghaus&Bingsuking there's a large outdoor dog pool, and you can borrow dog life jackets for free. I took my drink outside and found this Daegu dog-friendly café even has a big outdoor dog pool. They even keep life jackets for dogs on hand to borrow for free, for the kids' safety!
What's even more amazing is that there's a separate bathing area where you can wash the dogs clean after swimming. Everything from dog shampoo to combs and hair dryers is set up, so you can head home with a fluffy, dry pup after a swim.
What's on the second floor of Daenghaus?

The second floor of Daenghaus&Bingsuking has an area laid with non-slip mats and a dog training area. When I went up, mats were spread all over so the dogs wouldn't slip, and there was even a professional dog training space.

This is a place I definitely want to take my Cookie!
