Bridal V-line facial for straight neck, Gwanghwamun Station: Beautae

I've been getting a lot of wedding prep done lately and I'm really into bridal facials these days, so I've been trying them out here and there!

Since I stare at a monitor all day at work, my neck and shoulder muscles get really tight, which has given me a trapezius bump and even headaches. I went to Beautae Esthetic, which I was recommended as a Myeongdong facial spa, to get care for my straight neck, trapezius, smile lines, and asymmetry concerns.

Where is Beautae Esthetic? Close to Gwanghwamun Station Exit 5

Beautae Esthetic is located in Room 604, 6th floor of the Hyoryeong Building, 32 Mugyo-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, close to both Jonggak and Gwanghwamun stations. I came from Gwanghwamun Station and it was easy to get to since it's close to Exit 5.

It's also close for people coming from Jonggak, Myeongdong, or Euljiro, so it seems convenient for office workers in the area.

Inside Beautae Esthetic: a questionnaire and mirror check before the bridal facial

At Beautae Esthetic, they first do an overall facial consultation and then recommend a customized treatment.

The consultation was quite detailed so I could pinpoint my facial issues and get customized care, which I loved. They even pointed out which side of my asymmetry was higher and which was lower, and explained how to improve it, which made everything click for me.

Based on the questionnaire I filled out, they checked things together with me while looking in the mirror. I was worried about fat under my chin, but they said it wasn't fat — it was swelling from tense shoulders — and since I'd noticed smile lines appearing lately, they told me exactly what kind of care would help.

It was a private single room, so it was comfortable and I could get care privately — I loved that!

They also provided disposable underwear, which was nice!

I also checked out the referral event and the July event posted up on the wall.

Deep V-line Completion Care step by step: from gua sha scalp release to bamboo facial

The deep V-line completion care I received at Beautae Esthetic went in this order: deep cleansing → gwasha scalp and neck release → bamboo facial massage → mask.

Before the treatment! My trapezius muscles were really raised and my shoulders were tense, so my circulation was poor and my skin looked pretty dull. I can't fight gravity, so smile lines were starting to form, and I have facial asymmetry — my left eyebrow sits higher and my right lip corner sits higher — which has been stressing me out,,!!!

First they did deep cleansing.

They loosened up my head and neck thoroughly with gwasha, and released my face with bamboo tools. I hadn't really understood how important loosening the scalp was, but after getting this treatment once, I could tell how much it helps with circulation and swelling management. It felt refreshing without hurting at all — I didn't know gyeongnak (meridian massage) could feel this pain-free! But the effects were very, very good. Apparently painful meridian massage isn't good for either the person giving it or receiving it ㅠㅠ

They finished up with a mask!

There was a separate powder room, so I sprayed some dry shampoo, combed my hair, and left feeling fresh and neat.

Honest bridal facial review: less jaw puffiness and a clearer V-line

After the treatment, my complexion looked brighter, my smile lines — which I'd been worried about — looked lighter, and the swelling in my chin went down, creating a V-line, which I really loved. The bamboo massage in particular felt so refreshing and cooling that all the fatigue in my neck and shoulders completely melted away.

Just like the therapist told me, my posture is crooked, so I'm going to be more mindful of my posture going forward. I went to Beautae Esthetic, my Myeongdong facial spa, and came back with my shoulder fatigue completely gone and my asymmetry eased!

The July event was such a great deal that I paid for an extra treatment myself afterward, and I'm planning to keep getting bridal care here as I prepare for my wedding day!
