Gongdeok izakaya bar seats: uni cream pasta and sashimi, Orot Silbi
In short
Orot Silbi is an izakaya in Mapo, Seoul, 95m from Exit 10 of Gongdeok Station. On a Saturday evening two of us sat at the bar table and ordered the seasonal sashimi for two (₩48,000), uni cream pasta (₩26,000) and a Suntory Kakubin highball. The sashimi melted in the mouth and the uni cream pasta was rich and savory, making Orot Silbi an easy place for a drink and a long conversation.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to have dinner and I suddenly wanted sashimi, so we went to Orot Silbi! If you're looking for a Gongdeok izakaya, this is an excellent choice, so let me introduce it-⭐

Finding Orot Silbi near Gongdeok Station Exit 10

☑️It's a 3-minute walk from Gongdeok Station Exit 7, so it was easy to find. It's on the 2nd floor.
Climb the steep stairs and you'll find the entrance. I could hear the noise from below and thought, wow, there must be a lot of customers!
Getting a seat at Orot Silbi on a Saturday evening

This photo was taken after we finished eating and were leaving (there were so many people I took it later). When we arrived at Orot Silbi, there was only one bar seat and one table seat left! It was Saturday evening. If we'd gone even a little later we might not have gotten a seat🤣 We sat at the bar table.

You can really feel the Gongdeok izakaya vibe, right~? The restroom is inside too, which was convenient😊

We sat at the bar table where you can look up and watch the cooking! I love facing tables, but I also love bar seats😆✨

This is what we ordered~~! Since we came to a Gongdeok izakaya bar, drinks were a must, right? I ordered a Suntory Kakubin highball to drink, and we also got a Sprite😆

☑️Just a heads-up: when there's a big wait, your time may be limited to a maximum of 2.5 hours.
They kindly gave us a basket to put our bags in!
The highball came out first~~! It was mine so I took a sip, and it turned out to have zero sweetness — way less than I expected. So I added a bit of my friend's Sprite. Hehe😆

See how packed it is next to us? Saturday really is hot here🔥
Uni cream pasta, ₩26,000

Orot Silbi's uni cream pasta makes its appearance✨ The food came out pretty fast! We were hungry so we ordered a pasta dish, and it turned out to be an excellent choice🤤

Mixing the sauce well brought out an even deeper ocean flavor, which made the uni cream pasta even more delicious! It was so savory and salty🤤
Seasonal sashimi for two, ₩48,000

We'd barely had one bite of pasta when the seasonal sashimi appeared✨ Such a beautiful presentation. Why do I love sashimi so much🤤

We ate the white fish first, then moved on to the fattier ones. The tuna was also delicious~ I don't know exactly which fish is which, lol, but the fattier ones are definitely tastiest🤤 It melted in my mouth🤍 So glad we came to a Gongdeok bar....! It paired so well with the highball, I kept drinking!

The abalone was delicious too! If you're going to Orot Silbi, I recommend the seasonal sashimi👍🏻 But honestly, everything else on the menu is probably delicious too✨

Honestly we weren't fully full and wanted another plate of sashimi, but we suddenly craved chicken, so we decided to go for a second round elsewhere and wrapped up here! It might have been nice to order a nabe (hot pot) next.

Here's the scene, completely scraped clean✨ We really lit up our Saturday night at this Gongdeok izakaya bar, didn't we? My friend wasn't drinking, which was a bit of a shame, so next time I hope we can drink together and try more anju (drinking snacks)!😆 It's also just a great spot for chatting over a drink, which made me love it even more! Great vibe, lots of tasty anju — go to Orot Silbi and enjoy some good food👍🏻
