Brunch café in Nam-gu, Ulsan: jambon burrata at Benetto

I went to Benetto (베네또), near City Hall in Nam-gu, Ulsan, for morning brunch with my young relative. I enjoyed both the sandwich and the drinks, and the owner's kindness during our visit with a child especially stayed with me.

Where is Benetto, and when does it open?

Benetto is a ground-floor café on Jungang-ro 213beon-gil in Nam-gu, Ulsan. It's near City Hall, and I could see inside through the windows, which made it easy to recognize on my first visit.

At the time, I understood that it opened at 8 a.m. I brought my young relative in the morning and liked how quiet it was, with plenty of seats available.

What were the interior and seating like?

The wood tones and white interior gave the space a tidy, uncluttered feel. The atmosphere came through nicely in my photos, too.

The seats were spaced generously, so it didn't feel cramped. The quiet atmosphere that morning also seemed suited to having a coffee alone.

What did I order, and how much did it cost?

After looking over the menu, I ordered a jambon burrata sandwich (ham and burrata), a ttalgi latte (strawberry latte), and a vanilla latte. These were the prices at the time of my visit.

All three suited my taste.

How did the jambon burrata sandwich and strawberry latte taste?

The bread for the jambon burrata sandwich was toasted after I ordered, so the outside was crisp.

The salty jambon went well with the soft burrata. One sandwich was filling enough to work as both breakfast and lunch.

I liked the pieces of strawberry in the ttalgi latte. To me, the sweetness didn't taste artificial.

How was the service when visiting with a child?

My young relative swung an arm and spilled a latte across the table and onto the floor. I was flustered and kept apologizing, but the owner's first question was whether the child was hurt. I offered to clean up, but the owner reassured me and took care of it.

Coffee had spilled onto the child's clothes too, so I asked to take my drink to go, and the owner made me a fresh cup. I was grateful that the owner also smiled and said goodbye to my young relative, who was still crying as we left. The consideration shown to us that day stayed with me as much as the food.

I'd like to try another sandwich next time.

What should I check about parking?

My original post mentioned the City Hall parking lot as an option. It stated that parking there was free for one hour on weekdays, and that roadside parking or the City Hall lot could be used on weekends. Check the conditions for free parking and whether weekend roadside parking is permitted before visiting.
