Ulsan brunch café for sandwiches and decaf lattes: Benetto
In short
Benetto (베네또) is a brunch café in Sinjeong-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, near Ulsan City Hall. A friend and I shared Mexican beef and jambon basil grilled sandwiches with iced lattes, choosing decaf for mine. I liked the tender beef and crisp, chewy focaccia, though the lack of dedicated parking was a drawback.

Can you have brunch with decaf coffee near Ulsan City Hall?
I wanted a light, savory brunch near Ulsan City Hall, so I visited Benetto (베네또) in Sinjeong-dong with a close friend. I chose it for the handmade sandwiches and the decaf option, since I’m sensitive to caffeine.

We shared the Mexican beef and jambon basil grilled sandwiches, each with an iced latte. The marinated tomatoes served alongside the sandwiches also stood out.

How much is the lunch set, and when is it available?
At the time of my visit, the advertised lunch set included a sandwich and coffee for ₩10,000, available from 11 am to 2 pm. Coffee ordered on its own for takeout also came with a ₩1,000 discount.

The posted hours were 8 am–8 pm Monday through Thursday and 10 am–5 pm on Friday and Saturday, with Sundays closed. These hours and prices are from the original post dated Aug 27, 2026.
Is the café comfortable for a chat?
The warm wood tones made the café feel cozy. The neatly maintained open kitchen caught my eye, and the cushioned seats were comfortable enough for us to sit and chat.

It can fill up with City Hall employees between noon and 1 pm, though. If you want an unhurried conversation, I thought after 1 pm would be a relatively quieter time to visit.
How were the Mexican beef and jambon basil grilled sandwiches?
We ordered the Mexican beef and jambon basil grilled sandwiches. I chose an iced decaf café latte, while my friend had a regular iced café latte.

What were the beef and bread textures like?
The beef in the Mexican beef sandwich was tender and soft, with a distinct grain as I chewed. The jalapeños and spicy, savory cheese sauce went well with the meat.

The sandwiches are made in-house, from the bread to the meat filling. The homemade focaccia was crisp outside and chewy inside, so I enjoyed the bread’s texture as much as the filling.

Which flavors stood out in the jambon basil grilled sandwich?
The jambon basil grilled sandwich had fragrant basil and the saltiness of jambon, or ham. For my taste, it was an easy combination to enjoy for breakfast or lunch without feeling too heavy.

How did the marinated tomatoes and decaf latte go with the sandwiches?
The marinated tomatoes that came with the sandwiches were bright and refreshing between bites. They cut through the richness, keeping the sandwiches enjoyable to the end, and I liked them enough to ask for more.

The decaf latte had a nutty flavor that went well with the sandwiches. Being able to order a latte with decaf beans was one of my reasons for visiting. After our meal, I got another sandwich to take home.

Where can you park, and what were the drawbacks?
Benetto is on the first floor at 4 Jungang-ro 213beon-gil, Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea (울산 남구 중앙로213번길 4, 1층). Being right near Ulsan City Hall made it easy to find, but the lack of dedicated parking was a small drawback.

If you drive, you can use the nearby Ulsan City Hall public parking lot. Allowing for the lack of dedicated parking and the lunchtime rush, I found it a comfortable place near City Hall to chat over sandwiches and a decaf latte.
