Psyllium husk daily dose, 15 days a box: Health House Pine Jafi
In short
Health House Pine Jafi is a pineapple-flavored psyllium husk fiber stick powder from Korean brand Health House. One stick is 7g and the daily serving is 2 sticks, so a 30-stick box lasts about 15 days and delivers 8,400mg of psyllium husk a day, with 0g sugar plus 17 strains of live lactic acid bacteria and prebiotics (lactulose). Working out the daily amount and how many days a box lasts, rather than just counting sticks, made Pine Jafi much easier to judge.

How much psyllium husk should I actually eat? What I learned while trying to get my fiber in

When I started looking into psyllium husk, the first thing I wanted to know was how much I'd actually be eating in a day. If there are 30 packs, does that mean a month's supply? Is it one pack at a time, or two? How much psyllium husk do you actually end up eating in a day?

How many days does one box of Pine Jafi last?
The Health House Pine Jafi I tried comes in 7g packs, with 2 packs a day. A box has 30 packs, so eating 2 a day gives about 15 days' worth, and 2 packs a day means 8,400mg of psyllium husk.
I used to just check how many packs came in the box, but these days I calculate the daily intake first. Seeing '30 packs' alone looks like plenty, but it's a different story once you factor in eating 2 a day.

Pine Jafi comes as 7g packs, 2 a day, 30 packs per box. Dividing 30 packs by 2 packs a day gives about 15 days per box. At first I thought '30 packs, that'll last a month,' but once I saw it was two packs a day I recalculated. Between getting three sons ready for school and everything else, the things that take extra effort always get pushed aside.

Since Pine Jafi comes divided into individual stick packs, there was no need to measure out portions or weigh anything myself. On days I need to take it outside the house, I can just grab exactly what I need. But it's worth knowing upfront that one stick isn't a full day's dose — since it's 2 packs a day, it made more sense to think of a purchase as 'about 15 days' worth' rather than '30 packs.'

How much is 8,400mg of psyllium husk a day?
Next I looked at what's actually inside. Taking 2 packs of Pine Jafi a day gives you 8,400mg of psyllium husk. Psyllium husk comes from the seed husks of the plantain plant and contains both soluble and insoluble dietary fiber.

Apparently 2 packs a day of Pine Jafi contains the equivalent fiber of about 2 apples. For me, the actual daily mg number stood out more than just a line saying 'contains psyllium husk' — it also makes it easier to compare against other psyllium husk products using the same measure.
I ended up writing down four numbers for myself.
- 7g per pack
- 2 packs a day
- 30 packs per box
- 8,400mg psyllium husk daily
Just knowing these numbers let me quickly work out how many days a box lasts and how much I'm taking each day.

How to drink Pine Jafi: mixing a stick with water
Pine Jafi isn't a capsule you swallow — it's a powder inside a stick that you mix into water.

Opening a stick reveals a powder that's closer to beige than yellow. I prepared a cup of water, tore open a pack, poured it in, and stirred. No need for a spoon or a scale — just tear, pour into a cup, and mix.
Since it's pineapple-flavored I expected a bright yellow powder, but it was actually closer to beige than a deep yellow. Once mixed with water, the drink itself is a pale beige, not the deep yellow of pineapple juice. The powder dissolved well even in cold water — but fair warning, the texture thickens the longer it sits, so best to drink it right away!

0g sugar: what sweetens Pine Jafi?
Since this is a flavored psyllium husk product, I also checked the sugar content. Pine Jafi has 0g sugar, using erythritol instead of sugar. If it's something I'm taking every day, I check the sugar content too, not just the taste — since it's not a one-off thing.
I did drink it mixed with water myself, but I won't be writing things like 'my stomach felt different right after' or 'I went to the bathroom within a few hours.' I can't present what I felt after taking it once or twice as a result that happens the same way for everyone.

What I can say for sure is that there was nothing off-putting about drinking it — and honestly, the pineapple flavor made it easier to get my water intake in than forcing down plain water. Just this busy mom-of-three's personal take, though!

What else is inside besides psyllium husk
It would be a shame to look only at the psyllium husk and skip what else is packed in. Pine Jafi also contains 17 live lactic acid bacteria strains and prebiotics.

Lactulose is used as the prebiotic. If you're already taking a separate probiotic supplement, it's worth checking whether there's any overlap with what you're already getting.
Here's everything I noted while looking into Pine Jafi, all in one place.
✔ Don't just look at how many packs are in the box — checking the daily amount, the psyllium husk content, how many days it lasts, sugar, and what else is included makes the math much easier.

5 numbers to check when choosing a psyllium husk powder
Rather than forcing a comparison with specific brands, I tend to start by checking these numbers.
- ① How many packs a day — Pine Jafi: 2 packs a day
- ② Daily psyllium husk amount — Pine Jafi: 8,400mg
- ③ How many days a box lasts — 30 packs at 2 a day lasts about 15 days
- ④ How much sugar it contains — Pine Jafi: 0g sugar
- ⑤ What else is included besides psyllium husk — 17 live lactic acid bacteria strains and prebiotics
Lining up these numbers side by side genuinely helps me more when choosing what to actually eat, more than reading multiple lines of marketing copy — no secret there!
What I checked before taking psyllium husk
- ☑ How many packs a day
- ☑ How much psyllium husk you end up eating daily
- ☑ How many days a box lasts
- ☑ Sugar and sweeteners
- ☑ What else is included besides psyllium husk
- ☑ Whether it's something I can keep up with every day without it feeling like a burden

Between getting three sons ready and off to school, housework, and filming, my own stuff often gets pushed to the back burner. Psyllium husk was a name I'd only vaguely known before — this was the first time I actually sat down and calculated the daily amount like this. Going forward I think I'll look past the big text on the front of the package and check what I'm actually eating per day first.
With things like this, sticking with it consistently in your daily life is honestly harder than putting in a big effort once. For now, I'm going to start by just not forgetting that it's 2 packs a day.
