Today I'm introducing a place I loved so much I went back for more — 'Gyewondang' in Ingye-dong, Suwon ~~

The inside of Gyewondang Ingye Branch is so clean ~! Spotless, tidy, comfortable, all of it !! The place is spacious with lots of seats, and the retro interior makes it feel cozy like visiting your grandmother's house ~~ good for family gatherings, work dinners, dates, or even eating solo comfortably !!

This visit's order: Gyewon chicken cutlet, spicy-sour whelk noodle set and mini pork loin cutlet

This time we ordered the Gyewon chicken cutlet (swapped to egg fried rice/black rice, with sweet-spicy chicken sauce), the summer-only spicy-sour golbaengi (whelk) noodle set, and — since it felt like a waste not to try the pork loin cutlet — added a mini pork loin cutlet plus the unlimited soda ~!

I always feel this, but Gyewondang's dishes are so hearty and satisfying! There are lots of side dish choices and swap options per menu (black rice/egg fried rice/sweet-spicy chicken sauce) too, so I was really pleased~~

Gyewondang's chicken cutlet: much bigger than the photos suggest

This is the famous Gyewondang chicken cutlet! Chicken cutlet isn't a common dish, so I hadn't had it much before, but Gyewondang is how I discovered how delicious it can be! It doesn't look that big in photos, but it's really huge!!! Super hearty ~~^^

And the summer-only spicy-sour golbaengi noodle set I ordered came with various side dishes and a mini chicken cutlet~ Plus the pork loin cutlet we added on top, so it became a totally hearty spread !!

The chicken cutlet and pork loin cutlet are so crispy and delicious you wonder how they fry them! Every fried item came out perfectly crispy~ The fillings felt generous too, like they use good ingredients — everything tasted clean and well made!!

Summer golbaengi noodles at Gyewondang, loaded with whelk

I really love bibim noodles! So when I saw golbaengi (whelk) noodles as a new summer item, I couldn't resist! Thought the combo of cutlet dishes with spicy-sour golbaengi noodles would be great, so I ordered it too ~!

Sure enough, it was spicy-sour-sweet and refreshing — so delicious! Especially loved how much whelk was packed in there ~!

So delicious I went back for a second visit — Gyewondang in Ingye-dong, Suwon. If you're near Suwon City Hall Station or Ingye-dong wanting a properly hearty meal, or want to try the handmade chicken cutlet or Gyewondang's signature fried chicken steak, I highly recommend Gyewondang Ingye Branch ♥
