I was looking for an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) in Seongsu with a good mood, and that's how I ended up at Oukan! This time I went because I was craving aged sashimi. The atmosphere was lovely, and above all the sashimi was really delicious, so I left very satisfied.

After much agonizing, what I ordered at Oukan was the Moriawase for two. Moriawase is a Japanese-style sashimi platter with several kinds of fish arranged on one plate.

If I had to pick just one thing from Oukan's Moriawase, it's the smoked sashimi. There are so many kinds of aged sashimi, but if I had to choose one, it's this one!!! The smoked sashimi!!! The moment it goes in your mouth, a smoky aroma spreads, and it feels like sipping a fine whisky, haha. My eyes went wide for a second, it was such an irresistible taste. I really, truly recommend it.

Is Oukan good as a second round in Seongsu?

Oukan was a good place to spend relaxed time over tasty aged sashimi. It would work as a second round after a meal in Seongsu, or from the start when you want to spend time with good snacks.

Because the mood is so good, it's a place that comes to mind when you want something a little different. That day I ordered the Moriawase for two, and the sashimi was really good and I liked the atmosphere too, so I left in a great mood.
