Deokeun Jangeo Gwangyang Branch (더큰장어 광양점) is a charcoal-grilled eel restaurant on Hangman 9-ro in Gwangyang, Jeonnam, where diners pick their eel on the 1st floor and grill it over charcoal on the 2nd floor. The writer's family came for a weekend lunch and paid in the ₩70,000 range for 3 large eels (₩80,000 range before the 10% lunch discount), then finished with mul naengmyeon, bibim naengmyeon and eel soup. With sea-view window seats and baby chairs, Deokeun Jangeo Gwangyang Branch was a satisfying spot for a family stamina meal.

2002 Witch's Arpeggio (마녀의 아르페지오) is a dog-friendly Korean BBQ restaurant at the entrance to Myojeoksa Valley in Wabu-eup, Namyangju. At a weekend lunch at an outdoor table overlooking the valley, the blogger ate tomato gochujang pork belly with roasted seaweed and tartar sauce, plus Gangwon-do potato pancake (gamja-jeon), house-made makgeolli (rice wine) and snowflake cheese fried rice. 2002 Witch's Arpeggio suits a family meal out where you want spicy tomato pork belly with the sound of the stream.

Gwacheon hair salon C-curl setting perm that held 2 weeks: Juno Hair

Juno Hair Gwacheonchungsa Station is a newly opened hair salon right outside Exit 11 of Government Complex Gwacheon Station in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi. After a consultation with two reference photos, the writer's awkward mid-length hair with messy, uneven curls got a C-curl setting perm that took over 3 hours. Two weeks later the curls were still bouncy with no damage. For Gwacheon locals who want to tidy up in-between-length hair, Juno Hair Gwacheonchungsa Station is a salon worth trusting.

HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm is a charcoal-based makeup balm remover, tested here by a writer with extremely dry, somewhat sensitive skin. Rolled over the face, the HEEDA balm melted into an oil and lifted every product except mascara in a makeup test, and the writer felt less tightness than usual right after rinsing.
