Midsummer ramen restaurant in Eunpyeong: half tori, half karai, Oreno
In short
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a ramen restaurant beside Bulgwangcheon stream in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a 5–10 minute walk from Saejeol Station. On a scorching summer day the writer ordered tori paitan at 13,000 won and karai paitan at 13,000 won and swapped half of each bowl, then added tsukune chashu at 3,000 won and a soft-boiled egg at 1,000 won. Of all the Oreno Ramen branches visited, the Eunpyeong one has the widest, coolest hall, so ramen still goes down easily in midsummer.

Today I'm introducing a real ramen restaurant I visit no matter the season — Oreno Ramen! It's the place I always crave when I have no appetite. I've already revisited so many times that I want to explain in detail below why it's my go-to spot haha.
Where is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong, and is there parking?
[Location / parking convenience] ★★★★
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is about a 5–10 minute walk from Saejeol Station! They say free parking is also available. I took public transport, so please ask the restaurant for the exact parking location!
Why the Eunpyeong branch is the widest and coolest Oreno Ramen
[Cleanliness and atmosphere] ★★★★★
As someone who really loves Oreno Ramen, I've been to quite a few branches, and the Eunpyeong location was by far the most comfortable and spacious. Other locations felt a bit cramped and, I don't know, kind of thick/heavy, but this one was super cool and airy! The seats are wide too, so it seems fine even if you visit with a group~
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong hours and break time

- Break time: 14:30 – 17:00
There's a break time, so please check before you visit!
Walking along Bulgwangcheon stream to the restaurant

Walking out of Saejeol Station and cutting across along the stream, Oreno Ramen comes right into view! It looks cool and pleasant even from the outside, big time.

It was so, so hot that day, so I was really glad to see the shop right in front of me,,, it was truly a scorching day, and the moment I stepped inside it was so refreshingly cool,,,

There are disposable aprons too (I really don't like the reusable kind..but..) and hair ties right next to them, which touched me with how thoughtful the owner is .. big thumbs up.

The Insa-dong branch of Oreno Ramen that I usually go to is really small, so I always remember eating there feeling cramped, but the Saejeol Station branch is very spacious and comfortable haha. If you sweat a lot like me, go go go to the Saejeol branch in summer.

Bar counter seats for solo ramen in Eunpyeong
Since there's bar counter seating too, I'd recommend it for eating alone haha. It's something I think every time I visit a ramen shop, but men really seem to love ramen,, everyone eating solo was a guy,, it's officially climbed into second place after pork cutlet and jeyuk bokkeum lol.

Every table has hair ties set out like this too

Free refills of noodles, broth, rice and kimchi
One of the biggest things Oreno Ramen has to brag about !!! Noodles, broth, rice, and kimchi are ALL free refills !!! Sorry not sorry to the big eaters out there ~~~

Second thing to brag about.. the water is super cold and refreshing, and instead of plain water they serve tea, which totally cuts through the greasy taste! Iced tea, seriously.. that's some next-level thoughtfulness ..

As soon as you walk in, you'll see a kiosk machine right away. Just use that to order easily.

What we ordered: tori paitan and karai paitan at 13,000 won each
What I ordered was
Tori Paitan 13,000 / Karai Paitan 13,000 / Tsukune Chashu 3,000 / Soft-boiled egg 1,000
Just think of it as: karai is the spicy one, tori is the mild one. haha.

Hehe, every time we come we order like this and split them in half to swap dishes lol. Our own personal half-and-half menu.. haha.

Tsukune chashu at Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is ground chicken
We added chashu to the tori paitan, and the chashu at the Eunpyeong branch was different from the regular chashu we had in mind! It's like ground chicken formed together..? Never seen this before, so I ate it with high expectations, and sure enough, Oreno didn't disappoint.. is there anything this place can't do...

Paitan !! It was slightly spicy but not too much, so even a spice wimp like me could eat it comfortably haha.

Here's a closer look at the chashu visuals ~~ three thick skewer pieces, gone in a flash

Bowl completely emptied.... so delicious.. no need to even mention winter, but it's a ramen shop you can enjoy refreshingly even in summer. Highly recommend Oreno Ramen !!!
