Korean BBQ restaurant in Eunpyeong with a pork trio: Yukjjip
In short
Yukjjip is an aged-pork Korean BBQ restaurant in Eunpyeong, Seoul, two minutes from Eungam Station Exit 4. After a 20-minute wait behind nine parties, I ordered the 54,000 won three-cut platter, with staff grilling it alongside discounted drinks. Verdict: a comfortable, delicious place I’d happily revisit.

Today, it’s one of my repeat-repeat spots❤️ After work, I had a drink with an assorted meat platter at Yukjjip, a great place near Eungam Station, and here’s my honest review.

Yukjjip near Eungam Station: location and wait
Yukjjip, a spot known for aged meat, is about a two-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4😎 It sits right in front of the Bulgwangcheon walking trail, so it’s perfect for a stroll before or after your meal. There’s no dedicated parkingㅠ so keep that in mind if you’re driving⭐️

I went a little late to avoid peak dinner time, but there were still nine parties ahead of usㄷㄷ

After registering for the wait, we sat on the chairs set up outside😂 Yukjjip is currently running a deal: soju for ₩1,000 and bottled beer for ₩2,000. It’s cheaper than drinking at home, so how could we not drinkㅠ We had no choice but to go for samso, the classic pork-and-soju combo, haha.

The turnover must be good, because we got in after about 20 minutes😉 Ordering is easy through the tablet placed at every table.

Ordering the Yukjjip platter and side dishes
Yukjjip near Eungam Station has lots to choose from: pork neck, thick-cut pork belly, gabrisal (pork shoulder cap), pork skin, spicy soft-tofu stew, kimchi stew, doenjang (soybean-paste) stew, doenjang rice rolls, young-radish noodles, and young-radish bibimbap.

We ordered the Yukjjip Assorted Platter so we could try different cuts, plus one soju and one beer!

The basic side dishes arrived as soon as we ordered❤️ There were vegetable wraps, green-onion kimchi, white kimchi, myeongi leaves, seasoned bean sprouts, and more—every single one was made to go with the meat.

The sauces came out neatly too: ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste), salt, and seasoned salted shrimp. So tidy-looking, seriously.

A platter grilled for you, from pork neck to pork belly
Here comes the main event, the Yukjjip Assorted Platter! It includes pork neck, gabrisal, and pork belly, so I recommend it if you want to sample an assorted selection.

They started by putting Yukjjip’s signature pork neck on the grill☺️ What I really loved about Yukjjip was that they grilled every piece of meat for us!! No worrying about burning it; you can just chat away in peace. And meat grilled by a pro can’t possibly be bad.

While I was hanging out with my friend over a somaek, soju mixed with beer, Yukjjip’s signature pork neck turned beautifully golden. The meat was so thick that I’m 100 percent sure I would have burnt it if I’d grilled it myself😢

They thoughtfully placed the ready-to-eat pieces separately on the meat plate.

After the pork neck came the gabrisal, then the pork belly, all grilled deliciously right through to the end. Truly the best👍🏻

Three textures and the best pairings
All three cuts had different textures, which made it fun to pick between them. The pork neck was tender, the gabrisal had the best bite, and the pork belly—what more is there to say? It had just the right balance of fat and lean meat, so it was the tastiest of all.

The meat was good enough to enjoy with just salt, but it was also fun to try finding the best combination with myeongi leaves, white kimchi, and the other sides😘

All the side dishes paired beautifully, but pork is still best when you pile all sorts of delicious things into a big wrap and take one huge bite. Yukjjip was a great choice when I wanted aged meat near Eungam Station! The meat was delicious overall and the atmosphere was relaxed, so I recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a good meat restaurant around Eungam Station.
