Went to Bangi Station after a while for a meal at Hantiok, a Bangi Station favorite for Korean pork galbi (rib) restaurants. Wasn't feeling any of the usual places lately and got tired of always going to the same spots, so I decided on Hantiok.

Clean exterior. Seems like a good spot to bring guests too.
Hantiok's seats named after celebrity guests
Hantiok keeps track of which celebrities sat where, so since we'd booked ahead, we ended up at the seat where An Eun-jin once sat, hahaha. Eun-jin, we're the same age (????)
There was also a sign that stuck with me — during the meal I noticed the kids' play area was genuinely spotless and clean.

Basic side dishes at Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite. Seeing how neat and tidy the setting was, I could tell why it's so popular.

And all these side dishes—

—can be refilled unlimited at the self-serve bar, which I loved. That way you don't need to keep reordering the tasty banchan, you can just keep going back for more... for someone like me who loves side dishes, a refill zone is essential.
So they write down who sat where after each visit, haha, so funny — must be a hotspot for celebrity get-togethers. Olympic Park is right next door, so I bet people stop by after a walk there.
The pork galbi set at Hantiok, with the soup swapped to white brisket broth
Apparently Hantiok started out as a gukbap (rice-and-soup) place... then became an Andong noodle soup place... no wonder the brisket broth was so good.

First we ordered the set meal. We got the Korean pork galbi set and swapped the Andong noodle soup for the brisket broth. Brisket broth is the white broth, Andong noodle soup is the red broth. I like the white broth better, so we switched.
Classic trait of restaurants I always respect: they give you barley tea. Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite, knows what's up.

My top pick among the side dishes was the green onion kimchi. A green onion kimchi favorite... it's surprisingly hard to make it taste good. Some places make it bitter or just too spicy, but Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite, must have a secret — full of savory depth.

Onions in dipping sauce to eat alongside the meat.
They set up the fire for us. You grill it yourself from there.

The brisket broth that came with the set. It had mushrooms and thin noodles in it. I'm a mushroom fiend, so the mushrooms really carried this one.
Giving you a warm little noodle soup like this to settle your stomach is such a thoughtful touch. There were plenty of mushrooms so I ate a ton of them in the hot broth. And topping it with green onion kimchi seals the deal. Next time I want to try the Andong noodle soup — looking around at other tables, everyone seemed to be having the gukbap too.

Who grills? Hantiok staff light the fire and call the timing
🐚 grilling the meat nicely for us again today. Sometimes I realize I only want to go to places where someone grills for me, and thinking about why, it's because 🐚 always ends up grilling wherever we go. Sorry about that, and thanks — keep grilling well for me in the future (????)

Just as it was turning golden brown, the owner came over and told us it was the perfect moment to eat. So—

—moved it to one side... took a bite, and—

Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite, knows what it's doing. Delicious meat... I'd been craving pork galbi lately and had asked my mom to make galbijjim (braised short ribs) for Chuseok, so eating well-grilled pork galbi here made me really happy.

Adding LA galbi for 29,000 won and doenjang jjigae
My stomach wasn't feeling great that day, so I figured rice with a bit of soup would suit me better than more meat, so I ordered doenjang jjigae. Meanwhile 🐚 ordered one more portion of meat.

LA galbi for 29,000 won. LA galbi's gotten pricier lately so the portion wasn't huge, so I told 🐚 to eat it all, and I happily polished off half a bowl of rice with the doenjang jjigae.

The LA galbi tasted really great, at Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite.

Kids' playroom and the dessert naengmyeon at Hantiok
The kids' playroom was super clean. We ordered a dessert naengmyeon (cold noodles) to finish.

I only had a couple bites. Tasty naengmyeon — mild and nutty, a perfectly refreshing way to cap off a meat feast.

Valet parking and when Hantiok is worth booking
Hantiok, the Bangi Station pork galbi favorite, also offers valet parking. Great for staff dinners, family and friend gatherings, or even a date.

G-Dragon, did you eat well here too?
On the way back we were so full we walked all the way to Jamsil. If you're near Bangi Station looking for a pork galbi restaurant or gukbap spot, definitely give Hantiok a try.
