If you're looking for a café with good salt bread in Songdo, Cafe Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery Songdo Hagwonga Branch (카페 코지베어 소금빵 베이커리 송도 학원가점) might be worth a visit!

Salt bread is such a common item that I see it every time I go to a café, but a lot of places have soggy bottoms or not enough butter flavor. Cozy Bear's salt bread, though, was crisp from the bottom up, and it was pretty much my taste, hahaha. The Cozy Latte I ordered with it was good too, so I went home very happy on my empty stomach. Honestly, I'm writing this review and I want it again... my mouth is watering, haha.
Where is Cozy Bear Songdo Hagwonga Branch, and when does the salt bread come out?
Cozy Bear Salt Bread Bakery is a salt bread specialty café on the first floor of Caris Plaza on Haedoji-ro in Songdo, open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The salt bread is reportedly baked twice a day, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
If you're looking for a bakery café in Songdo, Incheon, it's worth a stop! They sell 6 kinds of salt bread: plain, potato, mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), ang-butter (red bean paste and butter), garlic and castella (sponge cake).

That day I even got to see the salt bread coming out freshly baked!

Quantities are limited, so if there's a kind you want, it's best to check the baking times!
What are Cozy Bear's atmosphere and terrace like?
The shop is white and wood-toned throughout. It felt clean yet cozy, and was comfortable to sit in.

The big windows keep it from feeling stuffy, and I liked how the natural light came in.

True to the name Cozy Bear, you can spot little bear designs here and there.

The takeout packaging is especially cute, so it looked good for gifting or taking salt bread home. There's also an outdoor terrace, which would be nice to sit on when the weather is good!

The area around it is full of hagwons (cram schools), so it also looked fine for dropping in with kids. And the sky was especially pretty that day. Good weather, tasty bread, and a rich Cozy Latte that suited me.

I just liked everything, hahaha. I meant to stay only a little while, but when I came to my senses I'd been sitting there almost 3 hours...? With good weather and good food, I didn't notice the time go by, haha.
What are Cozy Bear's menu and salt bread prices?
Cozy Bear has 6 kinds of salt bread. The plain salt bread is ₩3,500 and the ang-butter salt bread is ₩5,800.

They reportedly use French fermented butter, Guérande salt and premium flour. As befits a salt bread specialist, there's a wide range from plain to potato, mentaiko and garlic, so choosing is half the fun.
For coffee, there's everything from Americano to handmade vanilla latte, vanilla bean cream latte and the Cozy Latte, Cozy Bear's signature. The menu is organized like this.

What I ordered that day (₩14,300 total)
- Signature salt bread ₩3,500
- Handmade ang-butter salt bread ₩5,800
- Cozy Latte ₩5,000

I definitely wanted to try the plain salt bread, and I like ang-butter too, so I added one. For the drink I picked the Cozy Latte, which is the signature! I was starving that day, so the moment I saw the salt bread I wanted to dig in, haha.
Is Cozy Bear's signature salt bread really crisp on the bottom?
Cozy Bear's signature salt bread (₩3,500) really is crisp on the bottom. I tried the plain one first, and I could feel it from the very first bite.

I think the bottom has to be good in salt bread, and I liked that about Cozy Bear. The crunchy texture holds up as you chew, and the nutty butter flavor was great too.

Not all salt bread is the same, right? Some places have fluffy bread but lack the charm that makes salt bread salt bread. Cozy Bear's is definitely memorable for its crisp, nutty bottom. Personally, if the plain one is good, I get excited about the other kinds, and Cozy Bear's plain one was satisfying from the start.
What does Cozy Bear's handmade ang-butter salt bread taste like?
Cozy Bear's handmade ang-butter salt bread (₩5,800) reportedly has sweet red bean paste made by boiling Korean-grown red beans in-house, plus butter. I ordered it too because eating only the plain one felt like a waste.

If the plain salt bread is about enjoying the crisp, nutty flavor, the ang-butter adds red bean paste and butter for a slightly sweeter combination.

I like salt bread and I like ang-butter, so how could I pass up this combo, haha.
How does Cozy Bear's signature Cozy Latte taste?
Cozy Bear's Cozy Latte (₩5,000) is a rich, nutty, sweet latte, and it was an unexpected favorite that day. They said it was the signature latte, so I got curious and ordered it, and oh...? Exactly my style!
I prefer a deep, rich flavor to a too-light latte, and the Cozy Latte was exactly that. Plus I was on an empty stomach that day...? One bite of the crisp-bottom salt bread, one sip of the Cozy Latte, and wow, it was so good, haha. I'm still thinking about it now. I want it again...
Cozy Bear Songdo salt bread café: overall verdict
If you're looking for a café with good salt bread in Songdo, Cozy Bear is worth a visit too! It's the kind of café that comes to mind when you want tasty salt bread and a cup of coffee rather than flashy desserts.
What I liked most was the combination of the crisp-bottomed signature salt bread and the rich, nutty Cozy Latte! Maybe thanks to the good weather too, I sat there almost 3 hours and it still felt like time flew by.

If I visit again, I'll order these two again. I'm curious about the other salt breads, but since the plain one is so good I'll probably pick it again, haha. If you like salt bread, it's worth a stop!
