Daesin Peanut Bread Beomeo Direct Store (대신땅콩빵 범어직영점) is a 3-minute walk from Exit 3 of Suseonggucheong Station on Subway Line 2, heading toward Gyeongsin High School. It is open daily 10:00–22:00 and closed on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month.

A few days ago I visited this dessert spot in Beomeo-dong. It's become known around Daegu for takeout snacks and gifts, and the brand is famous as a Seomun Market specialty. I'd had dinner at a noodle place nearby and stopped in to pick up a late-night snack. My family loves this kind of nibble, so I grabbed some to share. It was easy to reach by public transport, too.

Can you eat in at Daesin Peanut Bread Beomeo Direct Store?

Yes, there's a seating area with 4 tables, so you can eat right in the shop. When I walked in, the kitchen was open so you can see right inside, and it felt clean and hygienic. I liked that.

The interior is bright with white and yellow, and being able to eat on the spot was convenient. Eating while walking is fun too, of course, but here you can relax. I thought it would be nice for kids, family or friends to sit and chat over a snack.

The golden-brown snacks lined up in the showcase looked so tempting that they could easily stop passersby in their tracks.

While I waited, I could watch the staff making bread nonstop. They filled each mold generously, and I thought, with this much going in, how could it not taste good?

What sizes and menu items does Daesin Peanut Bread offer?

The peanut bread (땅콩빵) comes in sizes from a small 20 pieces up to 45 or 80, and the 80-piece order goes in a box. I was also impressed that they'll bake it with just the batter for people who don't like nuts.

So a brand famous nationwide for Seomun Market can now be found in Beomeo-dong as well. With the 80-piece box, it's a great choice for a Daegu snack gift, too.

Besides the main items, there's a nice range of drinks: peanut butter, creamy, crunchy, latte, sikhye (sweet rice drink) and more.

I usually buy egg bread (gyeran-ppang) in winter, so being able to get it at Daesin all year round made me happy all by itself.

They also had healthy limited-edition black peanuts and roasted peanuts on display, sold from half a doe (500g) to one doe (1kg).

You can also try samples with no pressure, so you can taste before you buy. That's a nice touch.

Is takeout still warm when you get it home?

The peanut bread and egg bread I picked up stayed warm even though the trip home took about 20 minutes. I ordered two things to share with my family: 45 peanut breads and 2 egg breads.

You can reheat them in a microwave or air fryer, but they were still reasonably warm when I got home, so I ate them right away.

How does the egg bread taste?

The egg bread had a soft batter with real depth of flavor, and with a whole egg inside it was tender and moist. It caught my eye just by looking at it, though the shape was exactly the style you'd expect.

One bite and I couldn't help saying, "Not bad at all!" I could see why this place is getting famous as a Beomeo-dong dessert spot.

With a whole egg inside it felt nutritious, and the texture was soft and moist. I promised myself I'd buy more next time.

How does the signature peanut bread taste?

The signature peanut bread was crispy with a wonderfully nutty flavor. It looked different from the peanut bread I'd seen before, and even though I was full, I kept reaching for more.
