It had been getting chilly, but the sun came out strong again and the weather turned gorgeous — perfect for eating on an outdoor terrace and soaking up the mood. We headed out to Hanam Misa, not far from home, like a little outing. The Pizzeria Market Hanam Misa is a popular date-course restaurant in the Hanam and Misa area, and also a dog-friendly restaurant where you can comfortably bring your beloved pet, so I was really looking forward to it before we even arrived.

What the dog-friendly terrace and interior are like at The Pizzeria Market Hanam Misa

The Pizzeria Market Hanam Misa has an exterior with a striking green awning, and it has both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace. Stepping inside, the dark wood-toned floors paired with white marble-patterned tables gave off a sleek, warm feeling.

Among the wood chairs scattered around, a few pops of bright yellow chairs added visual fun, and the shelf full of colorful wine bottles along one wall, together with the white exposed-brick interior, completed the sentimental mood perfectly.

The indoor space felt spacious and comfortable too, but we wanted to catch a nice breeze in the shade, so we grabbed a wood table out on the terrace.

Turns out this place started in Itaewon back in 2018 and has built up serious know-how since then. They use a natural sourdough cold-fermented for 48 hours, and true to that, the pizza crust was crisp like a baguette but sat really comfortably in my stomach afterward. The sweet-salty autumn signature 'fresh fig prosciutto pizza' I picked was fantastic, but looking at the menu, I also got curious about the 'truffle mushroom pizza' that adults apparently love. I'll have to come back soon and conquer the rest of the menu one by one.

A little while later, our autumn-only fig prosciutto pizza arrived, piled high with in-season fresh figs and salty prosciutto,

and with every bite, the crisp wood-fired dough and the sweet flavor of the hot honey blended together fantastically.

The chrysanthemum greens (ssukgat) sesame salad we ordered alongside it, with fragrant ssukgat, sweet candied pecans, and a nutty sesame lemon dressing, freshened up our palate perfectly.

Add in the refreshingly crisp Budweiser draft and a clean iced Americano, and happiness came flooding in with every sip and bite.

Is the Hanam Misa terrace worth it for a date with a dog?

Chatting leisurely in the cool shade over great food and cold drinks, I felt the fatigue of everyday life melt away. Since this is a dog-friendly restaurant, it was extra fun watching the cute dogs other tables had brought along, scattered here and there on the terrace. I'll have to come back soon and enjoy another lovely date in this exotic terrace atmosphere. The Pizzeria Market Hanam Misa, which perfectly captures both the charm of its space and deep flavor of its food, earns its reputation as a genuine favorite in the Hanam and Misa area — and with that, I happily wrapped up today's healing outing.
