I visited Sin Yeongung Cheonggukjang Haemulttukbaegi Seongseo Moda Outlet branch for a third time because I wanted to have the seafood boil again. This time, my family of four shared the large size and also ordered fried rice.

Where is the restaurant, and how does parking work?
The restaurant is on the first floor at 27 Seongseogongdan-ro 15-gil in Dalseo-gu, Daegu. The roadside sign and standing sign were easy to spot. There was dedicated parking in front of the restaurant, which made parking fairly convenient.

At the time of my visit, Horim Public Parking Lot by the rear entrance was listed as free for one hour. It is a parking option to use when there is a wait on weekends or at lunchtime. The posted hours were daily 10:00–22:00, with a break time of 15:30–17:00.
Are there seats for family meals or group gatherings?
The interior had warm wood tones, with partitions between tables so diners disturbed one another less. There was also a spacious group room that looked suitable for company dinners or gatherings. There were comfortable tables for families or for dining alone as well.
There was also a notice in the restaurant about the origin of its name and its approach to food.

I could also see a notice about TV appearances and signed items.

How do ordering and side-dish refills work?
I could see the spacious open kitchen, and the self-service bar was neatly organized. I could get more side dishes from the self-service bar.

Although it specializes in cheonggukjang ttukbaegi (fermented soybean stew in an earthenware pot), I returned because I had been thinking about the seafood boil. In addition to the menu, the restaurant’s signature dishes were introduced prominently on the wall, and I ordered at a kiosk.

How was the large seafood boil for four people?
We chose the large seafood boil for my family of four. It is a dish of seafood and pasta, with a gentle buttery flavor.

Among the side dishes, I kept reaching for the stir-fried fish cake and went back for more several times. I also enjoyed the salad.

The large size was generous from the amount served on one platter. It was enough for my family of four, with some left over.

A staff member cut the octopus legs into easy-to-eat pieces, which was convenient.

We picked from a range of seafood, including squid, shrimp, roe and milt, scallops, mussels, and blue crab. There was pasta beneath the seafood, where the buttery aroma and savory flavor of the seafood came together. The grilled corn served alongside added another texture.

How was the fried rice ordered at the end?
On my previous visit, I was too full to try the fried rice. This time, I was already full again, but ordered it because I was curious. They stir-fried it in the remaining sauce with plenty of minari (water parsley) and sprinkled it with seaweed flakes; even though I was full, I kept reaching for it.

Over three visits, what stayed with me about the seafood boil was having buttery seafood and pasta together. I was satisfied to finally try the fried rice as well on this visit. It also seemed like a fitting place for a family meal after shopping at Moda Outlet.
