Incheon pub with non-alcoholic beer and yukhoe: Simsimsangin Nonhyeon

I was on a date with Shinmons and suddenly felt like having a drink~ Of course Shinmons drove, so no drinking for him ㅜㅜ So we headed straight to 'Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon,' which also serves non-alcoholic options!!

Ugh, everything was so good we ended up ordering more and had a whole eating show lol. Let's get straight into the review~

Where is Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon, and what is the pub like inside?

Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon is on the 1st floor of 14-7 Nonhyeonnam-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon, in an area packed with food alleys, so there are plenty of options nearby. Since it's right in the middle of the food alley, there was a ton to choose from lol, drool. We were craving yukhoe (raw beef tartare) though, so we just window-shopped everywhere else and walked straight into 'Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon.'

What surprised me walking in was that it actually felt more like a proper drinking spot than I expected — I thought it'd be just a plain table-service bar lol. It has a bit of a pojangmacha (street tent bar) vibe but is clean, and that's what I liked most about it (the restroom is shared so it wasn't quite as clean... I held it in the whole time after my one trip). And since there are a lot of tables, it seems great for group gatherings or work dinners too.

They bring out ssoya (stir-fried sausage and vegetables) as a default side dish!! Our Shinmons demolished it the second it arrived lol lol. Guys really do love ssoya it seems;; even my dad loves this stir-fried sausage dish.

Free takoyaki with a Naver reservation and the 17:00-19:00 happy hour on drinks

Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon gives you free takoyaki if you book through Naver Reservations, and runs a happy hour drink promotion from 17:00 to 19:00. 'Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon' really runs a wide variety of promotions — apparently if you book via Naver, they give you takoyaki. That's a free extra side dish, so why wouldn't you do it?!

And on top of that, happy hour from 17 to 19! Drink lovers, gather round!! Not everything is discounted, but most of the drinks people actually order are, so it's worth going for that alone! Especially for anyone looking for a spot for a company dinner or group gathering — come to 'Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon'!! Drinks are so expensive these days~ getting discounted drinks plus tasty food here, what more could you want~

Plum wine and non-alcoholic beer: a pub that works for designated drivers

At Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon we ordered traditional plum wonju liquor together with a non-alcoholic beer. Having something to drink even with a driving companion was a big plus. I've been obsessed with plum lately so I ordered the plum wonju, a traditional liquor — it seems like something women would especially like since it barely has any alcohol smell and is smooth. The plum flavor feels a bit stronger than Maehwasu (a popular plum liqueur brand)? It tasted even better ice cold!! And I drank a whole bottle by myself but was totally fine the next day, which was nice (unlike the old days when a drink would leave me a zombie the next day... that's me now).

Shinmons went for the non-alcoholic beer!! Back in the day non-alcoholic beer used to taste bad, but it's actually good these days. Trying it, it really does mimic real beer well — especially the carbonation, total beer feel!! From now on we're just going to hang out drinking non-alcoholic beer lol (unlike before, I'm drifting further from alcohol these days...).

Yukhoe-ui Jeongseok, 23,000 won: lightly frozen raw beef

Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon's Yukhoe-ui Jeongseok (raw beef tartare) is 23,000 won and comes out slightly frozen. We split it half with a raw egg mixed in and half without. Yukhoe-ui Jeongseok, 23,000 won — this is genuinely delicious!! Shinmons really loves yukhoe that's slightly frozen like this, and this was exactly that. We split it half and half, one mixed with egg, one without lol.

The pear was ice cold too, so good, and it was fun getting to enjoy the bourgeois experience of scooping it up with a spoon — just genuinely tasty. Yukhoe lovers, you'll love the 'Yukhoe-ui Jeongseok.' As we were eating, we got curious about the other side dishes — our stomachs were already full but... lol.

The second order: bong & gamtwi, 14,900 won

Even though we were already full, we ordered one more dish at Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon — Bong & Gamtwig (chicken drumsticks and fried potatoes) for 14,900 won. So that was the simple extra dish we added, Bong & Gamtwig for 14,900 won, and oh man, this was so good too!! Honestly it's hard for this dish to be bad lol (though some places do mess it up), but this place nailed it lol. Good pick when you want a simple round of drinks.

Ah... it was such a satisfying feast~ It was so nice having drinks with Shinmons after a while (of course Shinmons stuck to non-alcoholic lol), just chatting away and having fun. The weather's cooling down now, so everyone go out for a drink (in moderation!!!)~

The side dishes at 'Simsimsangin' are delicious, so I recommend it!! Lots of drink options too, and best of all, if you time it with happy hour, drinks go on sale!! These days drinks run 5,000-6,000 won, so before the promotion ends, definitely visit 'Simsimsangin Incheon Nonhyeon,' a great Incheon Nonhyeon bar~
