Pangyo Korean restaurant room booking for a family dinner: Useum

Useum Pangyo Branch is a tidy Korean restaurant with private rooms near Pangyo Station in Seongnam, Gyeonggi. Visiting with parents for a family dinner, the writer ordered the signature eobokjaengban (boiled beef platter), hanwoo bulgogi jeongol (Korean beef hot pot) and 1++ hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap (raw beef rice bowl), then added buckwheat noodles to the eobokjaengban broth to finish. A room booked through Naver Reservation made the meal private and relaxed, which suited both a family gathering and a company dinner.

Dongtan naengmyeon restaurant with free parking: Naengmyeon Gajun

Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch is a naengmyeon (cold noodle) and pork belly restaurant in Dongtan, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, with Dongtan Lake Park visible through the windows. After a weekend walk around the lake park, the writer ordered 7,900 won naengmyeon and a set of gochujang pork belly and soy sauce pork belly, and a serving robot brought the food while side dishes were refilled at a self-serve bar. With a large parking lot inside the building and free parking after the meal, Naengmyeon Gajun is an easy stop even by car.

Yongin sashimi restaurant with folding-door open seats: Mr. Squid

Mr. Squid Yongin Bojeong Branch is a raw fish (hoe) restaurant near the Bojeong-dong café street in Yongin, about a 10-minute walk from Jukjeon Station. Two of us ordered the squid and live fish sashimi set, eaten in a dining room thrown fully open by folding doors, so none of the fishy smell that raw fish restaurants can carry. Between the chewy squid sashimi and the fried items, steamed egg and seaweed soup that came with it, the set left two adults comfortably full.
