So I headed to a well-reviewed spot right near the lake — Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan Main Branch. The meal ended up being even better than I expected, so let me share all the honest details with you!

In this era of crazy inflation, naengmyeon for ₩7,900?!! I was shocked at how affordable it was, right off the bat.

The moment I walked into Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan, the first thing that caught my eye was the gorgeous view. It's located right next to Dongtan Lake Park, so sitting at a window seat gave me a full, unobstructed view of the open lake park scenery.

On a cool, pleasant day like this, just being able to eat a bowl of cold naengmyeon while looking out at the sparkling lake felt incredibly healing. 🌿 The interior is clean, and with sunlight pouring in through the big windows alongside the green park view, the atmosphere is perfect for a date or a family outing!

There were signed photos of the celebrity couple Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-ho near the entrance, so I stopped to check those out too, since it was fun to see!

If the mul naengmyeon (broth-based cold noodles) broth was this good, you can imagine how the bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles) turned out. The sweet-and-spicy seasoning wasn't overwhelming at all, and I couldn't stop slurping the noodles. The combo of chewy noodles and sauce was just perfect 👍

The glossy soy sauce pork belly was sweet and savory, a flavor that pretty much anyone would like!

The spicy gochujang pork belly really shined when paired with the chewy noodles. The portion of meat was generous too, more than enough to fill you up.

At Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan, a serving robot brings the food to your table, and you can grab extra side dishes yourself from a self-serve bar. There was a fun moment while waiting for and receiving the food — the serving robot you see more and more often these days. It carried our order and glided silently toward our table, then stopped precisely in the right spot to hand it over. Taking the tasty food off the robot added a little extra fun to mealtime 😄

It was also nice being able to easily grab more side dishes from the self-serve bar whenever needed.

Naengmyeon Gajun Dongtan has a spacious, well-equipped parking lot inside the building, so there was zero parking stress. If you drive, parking is always the thing you worry about, right? On top of that, the owner generously offered free parking support after the meal, so I could just relax and focus on eating. With parking this convenient, I think I'll be coming back more often 💛
