Magok taco restaurant with soju and lime draft beer: Taqueros
In short
Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican restaurant specializing in tacos and fajitas on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower in Gangseo, Seoul. On a weekday evening, the writer and a friend shared the Signature Couple Set for two (₩56,000) with soju, lime draft beer and orange ade, and especially liked the six refillable sauces and the crispy fish and chicken tacos. Being able to drink soju at a taco restaurant is what sets Taqueros Magok apart.

You know those days when you suddenly crave Mexican food? I was dying for tacos and beer, so on a weekday evening I went to Taqueros Magok Main Branch (타케로스 마곡본점) with a friend.
What are Taqueros Magok's hours and parking?
Taqueros Magok is open 11:30-21:30 Tuesday to Friday, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00 and last orders at 14:00 and 20:30. On Saturday and Sunday it is open 11:30-21:30 with no break time and last order at 20:30. It is closed on Mondays.
- Naver reservations available
- Group seating available
- High chairs
- Separate men's and women's restrooms
- Parking support
The Magok GMG Tower building has a parking lot, so it was easy to come by car. They also give 1 hour 30 minutes of free parking for your meal, which was nice.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor, and there's an elevator, so no hassle. There's also a separate waiting area outside. I had booked ahead for 6:30 on Wednesday, so we got in right away.
I thought a weekday evening would be quiet, but there were way more customers than expected. One table was having a company dinner, and from their conversation it sounded like they'd been to Taqueros many times.

How do you order?
You order with the QR code at each table. You don't have to call a staff member over, which I like.

Taqueros Signature Couple Set: what's in it and the price
We ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set (for 2) at ₩56,000, which comes with fajita, chicken tacos and fish tacos. I added an orange ade (₩3,500).
In the reviews, pork ribs seemed to be the most popular choice, and in the restaurant too I noticed lots of rib tables. You can swap the set for ribs by paying ₩6,000 more.

Complimentary nachos and cheese sauce
Nachos come out by default. The cheese sauce served with them was really good! It seems homemade, and I kept reaching for it before the food arrived, so I had to make myself stop.
(Stop eating, you pig!)

Can you drink soju at Taqueros Magok?
Many taco places only sell beer, but Taqueros Magok sells soju (Korean distilled liquor) too! My friend loves soju and was thrilled to be able to drink it with tacos.

Lime draft beer and orange ade
We also ordered a lime draft beer. It comes with a lime wedge, and squeezing it in yourself adds a fresh aroma that went well with both the beer and the food.

I had driven, so I ordered the orange ade. It was rich with juice and delicious. It tasted similar to the orange ade at Outback!

How big is the fajita, and how do the sauce refills work?
The couple set's fajita and tacos came out together, and it was more generous than I expected~ The fajita comes with shrimp, chicken, beef, pork and fried rice, so you get lots of ingredients in one go.

Six sauces come to eat with it, so you can try lots of flavors. Every sauce except the guacamole can be refilled!

The tortillas come cut in half, making 10 pieces. They're big, so you can cut them smaller however you like.

I liked having so many sauces and kinds of meat, and since everything but the guacamole is refillable, I piled on the sauces. I like putting vegetables on my fajita, but the salad was sold out that day, sob. So I loaded on tomato sauce instead, haha. I refilled several times and they kept giving me generous scoops, which I appreciated.

Putting the sauces on top of the nachos was secretly delicious too, and there's ketchup and hot sauce as well, so you can pair them however you like.

How are the fish and chicken tacos, and is there cilantro?
The fish tacos and chicken tacos at Taqueros Magok were good too. The fried filling was especially well done, crispy outside and soft inside, and it went nicely with the tortilla and the vegetables.
The tacos don't come with cilantro by default, so they should be easy for people who aren't used to strong herbs. My friend can't eat cilantro, so she said they tasted much better and ate mine too. (She ate so well that I gave them up.) Personally I actually missed the cilantro, haha.
Taqueros Magok review and payment perks
If you write a Naver receipt photo review during your meal, you can get Nutella tortilla chips or ice cream!

There's also a perk when you pay after the meal: you earn 6% of the payment amount in points,

and if you pay ₩60,000 or more you can join a prize draw. I looked at the prize list and there were lots of good ones.
Summary
From the parking support to the spacious restaurant and even the soju, Taqueros Magok was satisfying with its generous portions. The only downside was that the salad was sold out that day, sob. Next time I want to try the ribs too~ Recommended for anyone looking for a good taco place in Magok!
