Lotte Nowon café, coconut coffee again with no wait: Jeong Ji-young

I went back to Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters at Lotte Department Store Nowon, one of the best-known coffee spots in Nowon, this time thanks to Supermembers perks. When it first opened, I waited a full 20 minutes just to get a drink, remember?! I hadn't tried again since, but this time I just popped by and there was no line, so I got my drink right away!! So, let me tell you about my return visit to Lotte Nowon for a coconut coffee :)

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Nowon: location, hours and parking

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters, Lotte Department Store Nowon is in the basement 1 food hall of Lotte Department Store, 1414 Dongil-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. It's open 10:30–20:00 Monday to Friday (last order 19:45) and 10:30–20:30 on Saturday and Sunday (last order 20:15). For parking, just use the Lotte Department Store lot.

From Suwon's Haenggung-dong to Lotte Department Store Nowon

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters is originally a famous café in Suwon's Haenggung-dong, and when it moved into the Lotte Nowon food hall, the lines at opening were insane.. Being in the basement 1 food hall, it's a handy stop after shopping at the department store or eating at the food court. This time I'd eaten nearby with Mom and dropped in for a coffee :)

The Nowon branch also sells beans, drip bags and merchandise, so it's fun to browse while you order~ Great for gifts too.

The Nowon branch sells cold brew too, and there's a cold brew 2+1 promotion going on right now. I was curious about that one as well. It'd be easy to enjoy at home, so it sounds good. The drip bags also seem like a decent gift for a coffee-loving friend, so you can show off that it's from a famous café, haha

Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters menu, bean choices and decaf for pregnant customers

The menu is wide: hand drip, Americano, latte, ade, milk tea, iced tea and more. You can pick dark, medium or decaf beans, and what stood out is that expectant mothers can switch to decaf for free. Such a thoughtful touch, right? :)

And the signature coconut coffee, Jeong Ji-young Coffee's flagship, is the most famous thing here. It reportedly passed 1.11 million cups sold and even has a patent! I loved it so much last time that I wanted it again, so I ordered the coconut coffee (₩7,000), and Mom ordered the blueberry yogurt (₩7,000)!

Is there seating at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Nowon?

There's no dedicated seating area. You can find a seat inside the food court or just take your drink out. After ordering, they give you a buzzer, so I wandered around the area and browsed while I waited~

How did the coconut coffee and blueberry yogurt taste?

The coconut coffee was, as expected, right up my alley.. I don't like sweet drinks, but it has a proper coconut flavor with the coffee on top, so totally great. The texture is smooth and creamy.

Mom said the blueberry yogurt she had was sweet and tasty too. You need to stir it well, and it's the kind of taste that's good when you're craving sugar?

Overall, both the coconut coffee and the blueberry yogurt I ordered today were sweet, so skip them if you don't like sweet drinks.. but if you usually like coconut drinks, I highly recommend it. I don't think this one is very divisive.
