Misa, Hanam Han River view restaurant: mother-daughter date, Bokkeriu
In short
Bokkeriu is a Western restaurant with a Han River view on Misadong-ro in Misa, Hanam, Gyeonggi. On a mother-daughter date, the writer and her mom ordered Bokkeriu's steak set for 2, which they enjoyed like a course meal: sourdough with kelp butter, corn soup, half salad, shrimp bisque pasta, Hanwoo striploin steak, cheesecake, plum ade and an Americano. The Han River view, the set and the food all satisfied, making Bokkeriu a place she wants to revisit when the seasons change.

Today I'm sharing the set for 2 I had at Bokkeriu (보께리우), a Western restaurant in Misa, Hanam! It's a clean, pretty place with a Han River view, and the set covers sourdough, soup, salad, pasta, steak, dessert and drinks, which I loved. Okay, here comes the full review✨

What's the Han River view atmosphere like at Bokkeriu in Misa, Hanam?
Bokkeriu sits right in front of the Han River in Misa, so a refreshing river view opens up outside, and parking is easy with spots in front, on the 1st floor and a dedicated lot right next door.

Ta-da! We arrived at Bokkeriu on a day with a lovely blue sky. I could park right in front, which was so convenient! You can also park on the 1st floor, and there's a dedicated lot right next door. Bokkeriu is in front of the Han River, and a refreshing river view stretches out in front of the restaurant. The walking path was nicely done too, so we took a stroll first and then went inside. It's a great spot for a Han River walk before or after a meal.
Inside, a beautiful Han River view opened up. Nature is all around you, and just looking out the window felt like a weight lifting off my chest! haha Isn't this why we hunt down restaurants with great views?
The day I visited, the leaves were just starting to turn. Peak foliage, winter snow scenes, spring blossoms, lush summer green. Whatever the view outside the window, I think it'd be beautiful, so I'd love to come back when the seasons change haha
I came with my mom for a mother-daughter date. The atmosphere is so nice that I thought it would be good for dates, anniversaries or just a change of mood~
What's in the Bokkeriu set for 2?
The Bokkeriu set for 2 consists of sourdough and soup, a half salad, pasta (or risotto), a 200g Hanwoo (Korean beef) striploin steak, a homemade dessert and drinks. I got soup, salad, pasta, steak, dessert and 2 drinks.

Once we sat down at the comfortable table they showed us to, of course we had to look over the menu, right?
- Sourdough and soup
- Chef's choice half salad
- Pasta or risotto (+₩4,000)
- 200g Hanwoo striploin steak (extra 100g ₩30,000)
- Homemade dessert
- Drink: coffee, soda, tea, or ade (+₩2,000)
Since I came with my mom, I ordered the set for 2. With everything from appetizer to pasta, steak, dessert and drinks, it seemed like it would feel like a course meal, and that sounded great! There were so many tempting pastas that I agonized, but in the end I went with the shrimp bisque pasta. Now I'll show you the set for 2 one dish at a time!
Sourdough with kelp butter and corn soup
The first thing in the Bokkeriu set for 2 was sourdough bread served with kelp butter. The soup seems to change from season to season, and on this day it was corn soup.

The first dish out was the sourdough. I'm a total bread lover haha, and I always take the starter bread seriously. This one was crisp outside and moist inside, so good haha Best of all, the kelp butter served with it had a unique flavor. It was savory with umami yet soft and rich, and it went really well with the sourdough.

Then the soup came! The type seems to change by season, and when I visited it was corn soup. You could feel the texture of the ingredients, and it was smooth, nutty and perfect for whetting the appetite.
Half salad and shrimp bisque pasta
The half salad had fresh vegetables and nuts, and the shrimp bisque pasta was topped with big black tiger shrimp and arugula.
The half salad arrived! It was full of fresh vegetables with nuts mixed in, so the texture was nice and it tasted great! I especially love vegetables, so a fresh salad like this felt clean and refreshing.
Ta-da! Next came the shrimp bisque pasta! Can you see the shrimp in the photo? First, the size of the shrimp surprised me haha The menu description said black tiger shrimp go in, and the chunky shrimp really caught my eye. I also like having arugula with Western food, and it came topped with arugula too, so the combination with the pasta was great!
On the first bite, the ganjang gejang (soy-marinated crab) sauce and the pasta noodles went really well together. I could taste the fragrant freshness of chamnamul (a Korean wild herb) too, which was lovely! The bisque pasta was smooth overall, with the umami and richness of seafood coming through at the same time. The noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed it to the end with the sauce and shrimp.

How is the Hanwoo striploin steak cooked, and how does it taste?
The main of the Bokkeriu set for 2, the Hanwoo striploin steak, came medium-well with garnish vegetables, Maldon salt and whole grain mustard.
Ta-da!! And here came today's main dish, the Hanwoo striploin steak! For the record, the doneness is medium-well. The garnish vegetables were generous, which I liked. It also came with Maldon salt and whole grain mustard, my favorites, so I was happy~
The doneness was just right. On the first bite, the mouth filled with juices and the meat was tender, really delicious~ Paired with the whole grain mustard, it was a great combo. Yum!! Eating the garnish vegetables in between, I got the richness of the steak and the clean taste of the vegetables together, and I enjoyed it a lot~

Cheesecake dessert, plum ade and Americano
The dessert in the Bokkeriu set was cheesecake, and for drinks I chose plum ade and an Americano.
After a good meal, dessert is a must, right? Cheesecake came out, and the plating was so pretty it put me in a good mood~ On the first bite it was soft and just sweet enough, delicious! I like cheesecake in general, so I enjoyed dessert too.

For drinks, I chose plum ade and an Americano. The Americano was rich and good! I ordered the plum ade~ It's not something you see easily, so I liked how unusual it was! haha The plum ade was refreshing and sweet, and I enjoyed it. Next time, I think it would be good for each person to order both an ade and a coffee haha I really love drink menus, and looking at the Han River made me crave a cup of coffee! haha That's how good the meal was~
Bokkeriu set for 2: final thoughts
Bokkeriu, a Western restaurant in Misa, Hanam, was great: a delicious set for 2 in a pretty place with a Han River view! The set is well composed and every dish was tasty, so it was a treat for both eyes and mouth! The atmosphere is so good that I want to come back whenever I'm craving good Western food.
