After a stop at Songhyeona, the writer took home organ-packed sundae (Korean blood sausage), one portion of tteokbokki, three fried snacks and an egg for under 20,000 won, plenty for two people. Songdo chicken soup spot for a solo meal: extra chicken, Eonyang

Eonyang Dak Kalguksu Incheon Songdo Branch is a Korean restaurant serving chicken kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) and dakgomtang (chicken soup) on Haedoji-ro in Songdo Zone 1, Yeonsu, Incheon. The writer went alone in the morning right after opening and ordered dakgomtang with rice on the side, extra chicken and dumplings. The mild broth in a big bowl and the less-spicy kimchi were so good that the writer refilled the kimchi twice. With solo dining tables and fast service, Eonyang Dak Kalguksu is a perfect fit for a solo lunch in Songdo.

Boulangerie Tan, Hyundai Department Store KINTEX is a bakery café on the B1 food floor of Hyundai Department Store KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, run on a policy of baking, selling and discarding everything the same day. The writer went before the cornet pies sold out, took home vanilla, sweet corn, croquant caramel and pistachio cornet pies, and shared them with family over coffee. With a crisp shell and smooth cream, Boulangerie Tan's cornet pies were a dessert bread everyone from kids to adults loved.

A regular brow-wax customer booked a weekend appointment for a brow design wax plus under-lip and upper-lip waxing. All three areas were finished within 20 minutes, followed by soothing care and an aroma pack. Nu Waxing & Brow neatly tidied stray hairs, overgrown length and a lost brow shape, a face wax good enough to make the writer want to become a regular.

Apgujeong nail salon: ₩50,000 nude syrup gel with removal, Naeil Didi

Naeil Didi is a nail salon in Apgujeong, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 6th floor of a building near Apgujeongnodeo Station, specializing in nail extensions and wedding nails.
