Euljiro bar for quiet dates and shrimp pasta: Hey Jinny
In short
Hey Jinny is a cooking bar on the second floor, a one-minute walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station in Jung, Seoul. I ordered the Osaka Nibo Ebi oil pasta, eoyang gaji, and two highballs; the shrimp-forward pasta stood out. The space is not very large, but its wide table spacing and low lighting made it good for a calm conversation.

I visited Hey Jinny for a place in Euljiro where I could enjoy food and drinks while having a calm conversation. The shrimp-forward pasta and crisp eoyang gaji stayed with me, and I also liked the low lighting and generous spacing between tables.

How close is it to Euljiro 3-ga Station?
Hey Jinny is on the second floor at 7 Euljiro 12-gil, a one-minute walk from Euljiro 3-ga Station. Being so close to the station made it convenient for meeting after work or stopping by for a second round.

I could sense the atmosphere from outside, and even the staircase up had Euljiro's distinctive feel.

There were also seats by the entrance where guests could sit while waiting.

The hours listed in the original post are 17:00–24:00 Tuesday through Friday and 15:00–24:00 Saturday through Sunday; it is closed on Mondays. Corkage and private rental are also listed as available.
Is the atmosphere good for a date and conversation?
Unlike the busy street outside, the interior was quite calm. The industrial décor and low lighting made it cozy and easy to focus on conversation.

The small decorative details suited the mood of the space well.

The venue itself was not especially large. Still, the tables were well spaced, so neighboring tables did not feel distracting; I thought it would suit a blind date or a couple's date as well.

What food and drinks are available?
The food selection was varied, including pasta, pizza, salads, and steak. Drinks ranged from red, white, and port wines to whiskey, premium soju, and several highballs.

When I visited, I felt the prices were reasonable considering the food and atmosphere. I ordered eoyang gaji (crispy eggplant in a savory sauce), Osaka Nibo Ebi oil pasta, an Earl Grey highball, and a Maker's highball.

What does the Osaka Nibo Ebi oil pasta taste like?
The Osaka Nibo Ebi oil pasta was the dish I remembered most from the visit. It had lightly blanched fresh shrimp, dried shrimp, and seaweed powder, giving it a deep shrimp flavor and savory richness.

The clean flavor of the oil pasta was complemented by the savory seaweed. Chili gave it a light kick, so it was not greasy, and the portion was appropriate. I also liked the plating and would return for this pasta.
How was the eoyang gaji with a highball?
The eoyang gaji was crisp outside and moist inside. Even the lower portion sitting in the sauce retained its crispness while I ate it.

The house-made sauce was sweet, salty, and slightly spicy. It paired well with the eggplant and was also good alongside a highball.
Which of the highballs stood out?
The Maker's highball was clean and smooth. Of the two drinks, I especially liked the Earl Grey highball.

The Earl Grey aroma spread gently, while the taste was sweet and smooth. It suited my taste even though I do not drink very well.

What I liked about this visit was being able to enjoy food and drinks while talking calmly. It is not a large venue, but there was room between tables, making it a place I would think of again for a meal for two or a quiet second-round spot.
