Haenggung-dong, Suwon café with dim private seats: Jung Ji-young
In short
Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung is a new café on the 2nd floor of the Low Five building in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, 80 meters from the Jung Ji-young Coffee Haenggung main branch toward Hwaseong Haenggung. The writer visited with her older sister, who was in Suwon on a trip; they sat in a dimly lit private seat and tried the signature coconut coffee, served in a glass cup, and a black sesame latte, the writer's first. With coffee worthy of its reputation and a distinctive mood, Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung is also worth recommending as a date spot.

Where is Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung?
Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung (정지영커피로스터즈 신풍점) is a newly opened café on the 2nd floor of the building with Low Five at 32 Sinpung-ro, Haenggung-dong, Suwon. It is 80 meters from the Jung Ji-young Coffee Haenggung main branch toward Hwaseong Haenggung, so it's easy to find. It is open 11:00 to 22:00, with no parking and no pets allowed. Group seating, takeout, Wi-Fi and simple payment apps are available, there are separate men's and women's restrooms, and there is a waiting area too.
I visited this new Haenggung-dong café with my sister, who came to Suwon for a trip. Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters has several branches in Suwon alone, and the Sinpung branch opened on the 2nd floor of the Low Five building, 80 meters from the Haenggung main branch toward Hwaseong Haenggung.

Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters is loved by everyone in Suwon as a spot for all kinds of coffee and desserts, but

the coconut coffee, which has sold a whopping 1.11 million cups and is even patented, is the most popular of the popular.

What are the interior and seats like?
The café is one wide, plaza-like space with window seats, group seats and couple seats placed freely around it. The ordering counter is at the very back. Going up to the 2nd floor, you reach the entrance of the newly opened Sinpung branch, and the mood is quite different from the other branches.

Inside, the café opens up like a wide plaza, with the ordering counter at the very back,

and tables of all kinds are set out as if at random. There are window seats with an alley view that has that Haenggung-dong mood, group seats, and couple seats perfect for a date! I liked the dimly lit, private seats across from the ordering counter, so I sat there.

They also sell stylish merch and beans that are great for a home café.

What's on the menu?
The menu is split into coffee, drinks, hand drip and homemade desserts. This is what I saw at the new Haenggung-dong café:
- Coffee: Americano, café latte, flat white, vanilla latte, coconut, black sesame latte
- Drinks: Chodang corn latte, plum ade, London Fog milk tea, ice cream, grapefruit ade, chamomile relaxer
- Hand drip: Guatemala Antigua Pastoral, Ethiopia Momora Natural G1, Kenya AA TOP Kagumo Microlot, Colombia El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Lychee Peach
- Homemade desserts: French toast, tiramisu

There are also plenty of other desserts that go well with coffee; just pick from the showcase.

How were the coconut coffee and black sesame latte?
I ordered the signature coconut coffee and the black sesame latte, and both came in glass cups. The tip: stir the coconut well, but drink the black sesame latte without stirring. Since we came to a coffee hotspot, coffee is a must. Unlike at other branches, the two coffees came in glass cups, and

they look so good you can't help taking lots of photos.

Signature coconut coffee
The signature coconut coffee at Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung is tastier and sweeter when you stir it well! Rich coffee flavor with sweet coconut is a thumbs up, as always.

My first black sesame latte
I'd never ordered the black sesame latte before, and I was told to drink it without stirring. Nutty black sesame, nutty milk and strong espresso come together in three flavors, and it was excellent too.

A true coffee hotspot! Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters earns its reputation on its own. This new café opened with a different mood, and I think Jung Ji-young Coffee Roasters Sinpung would be a top choice for a date.
