Quiet Suwon Station café with sofa seats and AC blankets: Hongrad

I heard that the toast dessert shop I love in Haenggung-dong also has a branch near Suwon Station, so I went to check it out! The cute artwork and the taste were both great, so I wanted to recommend it. Let's start the review!

Hongrad Coffee is located right in front of Suwon Tax Office. If you're coming from the rodeo street near Suwon Station, it's about a 5–10 minute walk!

Climbing the stairs up to the 2nd floor, the entrance is already full of aesthetic posters!

Sofa seats and AC blankets: what is Hongrad like inside?

The inside of Hongrad Suwon Station Branch felt spacious and open overall. Various posters and aesthetic decorations were harmoniously arranged! Totally that trendy MZ vibe... (?) hahaha

Most of the chairs were sofas, so we sat in a sofa seat too!

Off to one side, there were blankets prepared to block the AC breeze. Since I was sitting right in front of an AC vent, I made good use of one haha

What we ordered at Hongrad and the receipt-review pin badge

We ordered a decaf Americano, a bear matcha einspänner, and Hongrad toast! Since Hongrad's desserts are the real kick, I highly recommend ordering a drink alongside them!!

They said you get a cute pin badge for a receipt review! Such adorable little pin badges... they made for a unique and charming gift haha

Browsing the keyrings and rings at Hongrad

One corner of Hongrad Suwon Station Branch was selling all kinds of items. As someone who loves cute little things, my eyes lit right up hahaha

Most of what they sold were things like keyrings and rings, and the prices were surprisingly cheap!! There was such a variety of items, so it was fun just to look around haha

They also sell pretty candles you can stick in a cake, in case that's useful for you haha

How does the injeolmi Hongrad toast taste?

Here's what we ordered. The cute chocolate art on top of the toast and drinks is Hongrad's signature! I was so charmed by how cute it was that I lost count of how many photos my friend and I took before eating haha

First, I tried the Hongrad toast. It was generously loaded with injeolmi (sweet rice cake) powder, red bean, rice cake, and nuts!

The layer of red bean and bread was thicker than expected! The portion was bigger than we thought too, so the two of us, having skipped a meal, ended up pretty full!

You absolutely must pile all the toppings on and take a bite of the Hongrad toast all at once!!! Eating the ice cream, red bean, bread, and rice cake together was seriously, insanely delicious...!!!

Bear matcha einspänner and decaf Americano at Hongrad

The bear matcha einspänner had cream under the cute art, and matcha latte below that! At first I drank it without mixing, and the cream flavor came through fully — it was so soft and sweet, with a lovely smooth finish! The decaf Americano also had a rich, high-quality bean flavor with no sourness or burnt taste, making it a clean pairing for the dessert~

Final verdict on Hongrad Suwon Station Branch

Being able to enjoy the same Hongrad from Haenggung-dong right at Suwon Station made me so happy and satisfied~ Great interior, delicious desserts, and drinks too!! I had a perfectly relaxing time! Maybe thanks to the BGM, even with quite a few people around, the atmosphere stayed quiet, so I'd love to come back again whenever I want to rest and enjoy dessert!
