Suwon Station café with a no-drip bear einspänner: Hongrad

I was looking for a nice-vibe café near Suwon Station and ended up at Hongrad Suwon Station Branch!

It's got that vintage New York feel plus cute desserts, so it's great for photos and also just for relaxing comfortably.

I ordered an iced Americano, the bear einspänner, and the ex-boyfriend toast.

Where is Hongrad Suwon Station Branch, and what are its hours and parking?

Hongrad Suwon Station Branch is on the 2nd floor of 61-1 Hyanggyo-ro, Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, open daily 12:00–23:00. It's behind the Suwon Tax Office, so it's an easy walk from Suwon Station.

There's no dedicated parking lot, so if you're driving you'll need to use a nearby public or private parking lot.

It's easy to combine with shopping near Suwon Station, so the location is convenient if you're looking for a good café near Suwon Station.

Inside Hongrad: a vintage New York look

Hongrad Suwon Station Branch is a black-and-white space packed with vintage props. 🖤

American flags, posters, photos, license plates — the walls are covered with props, so it's genuinely fun to look around!!!!! Such a good vibe!!

Every table has a small lamp, and thanks to the soft lighting the atmosphere was even better in the evening, haha.

There are also plush sofa seats, so it was comfortable chatting with friends for a long time. A lot of people were there alone working on laptops too!

Bear einspänner: cream that stays put

The bear einspänner comes with a cute bear face drawn on top of the cream, and it's honestly so adorable ㅠㅠ There are einspänners out there where the cream just melts and slides all down the glass, but this cream didn't drip down??! I loved that so much, haha.

The iced Americano was clean and easy to drink alongside the sweet dessert. Not bitter, just nutty, hehe.

What does the ex-boyfriend toast taste like?

For dessert I tried the ex-boyfriend toast. It's golden toasted bread topped with ice cream and blueberry jam, served with banana on the side.

Eating warm toast together with cold ice cream and sweet blueberry jam — the combo was genuinely great. The bread was chewy too! The cream cheese was delicious, haha. The ice cream was so good too!!!!!!

Is Hongrad Suwon Station worth a visit?

From the vintage interior to the cute drinks and desserts, there was a lot to see at this café 🖤 Especially with photogenic menu items like the bear einspänner and ex-boyfriend toast, it works well as a date-course spot too.
