I'm introducing a café we stopped at on the way home after going to Sejong for a Hangul Day event. The lake park was so crowded that the kids didn't really get to eat. So before heading home, we wanted to feed them some bread, and we wanted good coffee too, so we searched and came here. Café The Corner (카페더코너) in Dodam-dong was a perfect Sejong café pick.
What kind of café is Café The Corner?
Café The Corner is a roasting café in Dodam-dong, Sejong (8-20 Bodeum 3-ro, Unit 140). It's open every day from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
They brew coffee from beans roasted in-house every day, and they're famous for bingsu and honey bread. It's a Blue Ribbon-listed roasted coffee spot, so coffee lovers seek it out. And since it's open until the small hours, it also looks like a good place to drop by for a late drink.

How does parking work at Café The Corner?
You can park free for up to 4 hours in the building's basement. After parking, head up to the first floor and you'll find the café right on the corner, just like its name.

A comfortable atmosphere for going with kids
There are several terrace seats, so on a nice day it looks great for sipping coffee in the sun. The interior is spacious too, so you can spend time here with kids without feeling self-conscious.
We came because the kids hadn't eaten properly at the lake park, and it was nice to be able to relax in such an easygoing space.

What's on the menu at Café The Corner?
The menu is varied, from coffee to lattes, teas, kids' drinks, bingsu and honey bread.
- Coffee: all the basic coffee drinks, and decaf beans are sold too
- Lattes: green tea latte, sweet potato latte, chocolate latte and more
- Tea: lemon tea, grapefruit tea, yuja tea (citron tea) and more
- Kids' menu: yogurt smoothie, fruit yogurt smoothie, tomato juice blended to order
- Bingsu (shaved ice dessert): black sesame, injeolmi (roasted rice cake powder), Oreo, apple mango
- Dessert: honey bread
The recommended items are the vanilla café latte, affogato, yuja tea, tomato juice and apple mango bingsu.

There were ripe tomatoes on display, so I couldn't not order the tomato juice! It's a great drink to share with kids too.

You can also see the freshly roasted beans and the decaf beans the café carries.

Honest review of what we ate at Café The Corner
We ordered an americano, a tomato juice and honey bread!

Americano: nutty, house-roasted flavor
As you'd expect from house-roasted beans, the americano had a lovely nutty taste. I could see why it got a Blue Ribbon. It's a place I'd come back to just for the coffee.

Honey bread: hungry kids finished it in a flash
The honey bread is piled high with whipped cream that isn't too sweet. Chocolate and caramel drizzle on top add extra sweetness!
It's thick-cut toast baked crispy outside and moist inside, and the hungry kids said it was so good and polished it off in no time. The kids who hadn't eaten properly at the lake park filled their bellies here, haha.

Tomato juice: a healthy juice blended to order
The tomato juice is blended fresh as soon as you order, sweet and refreshing. It's a healthy drink with just the right sweetness, served cold, and I could see why Café The Corner is famous for it.
I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't drink coffee or is looking for a healthy drink.
