Beefjeong Gogi Jip near Sindang Station: an early dinner with my kid
Beefjeong Gogi Jip (비프정 고기집) is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Toegye-ro 74-gil near Sindang Station. I booked through Naver Reservation and went with my child for a fairly early dinner. The short version: the meat quality was better than I expected.
Sindang is the kind of neighborhood where you find a new favorite every time you visit. Lately it has gained not just pretty cafés but plenty of great meat restaurants too, and this time I finally went to Beefjeong, which I'd been curious about. Going with my kid at an early dinner hour meant we could enjoy it without any rush.

It isn't a place that's only good at the meat. Even the side dishes were well made, so I was happy all through the meal. If you're looking for Korean BBQ in Sindang, I think it's worth a visit.
What did we order at Beefjeong for two?
We ordered 1 serving of pork belly, 1 serving of beef brisket (chadolbaegi), hanwoo (Korean beef) brisket Buldak ramen, and 2 Beefjeong burgers.

There were only two of us, but I wanted to try a bit of everything, so I ordered a wide mix.
Can you order one serving at a time at this Sindang BBQ?
Yes. At Beefjeong you can mix beef and pork and still order one serving of each. Being able to start with just one serving each is a real perk. Many other BBQ places insist on a 2-serving minimum, but here it's one serving each, mixed. Wow!
Beefjeong pork belly
The meat was the thing I liked best. The pork belly had a good thickness and a great texture, and from the first bite you could tell the juices were intact.

The outside got golden while the inside stayed moist, and the more I chewed, the nuttier the flavor got. The fat-to-lean ratio was good too, so it never felt greasy and I enjoyed it to the end. Add grilled kimchi and it's heaven... thick cuts, definitely not cheap stuff.
There are so many pork belly places these days, but not many where you can instantly tell the meat itself is good. Beefjeong was clearly different.

Beefjeong beef brisket
The beef brisket came sliced thin and cooked quickly on the grill, so we could eat it right away. You can't skip brisket. The savory flavor was really good, and it was rich without being too heavy, clean enough that my chopsticks kept going back.
Alternating between pork belly and brisket kept it from getting boring and gave us different flavors. Both were high quality, so I think you'd be happy whichever you order.

Beefjeong's burger at a BBQ restaurant: how was it with a kid?
I ordered two burgers out of curiosity. A burger at a BBQ restaurant felt a little unusual, but it was far better than I expected. The patty had great flavor and the bun was soft, so it was easy to eat.
One bite and the juices were there, so it felt like a properly made burger. I went for meat and ended up happily eating a burger too. It's polished enough that calling it a side feels wrong, and I'd order it again. My kid really loved it.
Partway through the meal, the owner even brought my kid a probiotic drink, which I was so grateful for. 🥹 It's not a no-kids zone, and they gave a drink for the child too... I was touched.

Is the hanwoo brisket Buldak ramen worth ordering?
The most memorable side dish was the hanwoo brisket Buldak ramen (spicy fire-chicken-flavor stir-fried noodles). The name alone sounded delicious, and it really was. Savory hanwoo brisket on top of spicy Buldak noodles was a great combination.

The brisket softens the sharp spiciness of the noodles, so the balance is much better. Eating a bite in between rounds of meat woke my appetite back up, so I enjoyed it to the end. It's no ordinary side dish, definitely worth ordering once.
The owner boils the noodles so well,,, and they topped it with cheese, which tames the heat too 🥹 I bet the jjagyechi (black bean noodles plus Chapagetti-style mix with cheese) and the Yeolramyeon would be 100% delicious too,, if my husband had come along we'd have ordered them all.. I was too full to order them, sadly ㅠ

What are the atmosphere and service like at Beefjeong?
The restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly, so I had a pleasant time throughout the meal. It also looked fine for a get-together with friends or a date.
I was satisfied with the whole meal, not just the meat. You could tell both the pork belly and the brisket were fresh, and the sides didn't feel half-hearted. Each one had clearly been given some care.

Is Beefjeong near Sindang Station worth going back to?
Both the pork belly and the brisket were satisfying, and the hanwoo brisket Buldak ramen and the Beefjeong burger beat expectations too. Sindang has plenty of good restaurants these days, but few places make you want to return for the meat quality alone.
If you love meat, you'll be perfectly happy here. If you want good meat and special side dishes together in Sindang, I'd recommend Beefjeong Gogi Jip.
The owner seems to know trends well. Whenever something goes viral on Instagram, like garlic-scape bibimbap or spring-cabbage bibimbap, they seem to prepare and sell it right on time. I'm a little sad I missed the garlic-scape bibimbap. It was such a satisfying meal that I'd like to try other meat dishes next time. If you're looking for Korean BBQ in Sindang, I recommend paying a visit.
