I often stop by Hyundai Jamsil Self Gas Station to fill up, but I always came in the late evening, so Maple Burger's hours never lined up and this was my first visit. I'd been curious about it for ages, so my expectations were high, and the taste honestly beat them.

I loved that the shop's exterior already has a strong Canadian vibe.

How do you order at Maple Burger DT?

If you order through Naver 15 minutes before pickup, you can get your burgers even faster. I also ordered ahead on Naver and picked up right away.

Maple Burger menu and the burgers I chose

Maple Burger DT has a really wide menu, from sets to single burgers, drinks and sides. There's an especially good variety of burgers, so it's easy to pick one to your taste.

With so many burgers that all looked delicious, choosing was really hard. I ended up with three: the Maple Whole Shrimp Burger, the Maple Bacon Burger and the Maple Burger, and every one of them was great. Whichever you pick, the base is so good that I think nobody would be disappointed. The owner was super friendly too, which made the pickup even more pleasant.

Drive-thru takeout: is it okay to eat in the car?

Maple Burger DT is a drive-thru, so you can pick up right from your car. The packaging is very careful, so it looks great for eating straight in the car.

Each burger is labeled by type and comes in its own case, so you can eat outside without worrying about spills. I'd recommend Maple Burger as a Jamsil picnic food spot too.

The moment I opened the case, a rich, deep burger aroma wafted out. Both the wrapper and the burger showed Maple Burger's own character. The packaging was pure American burger from the start.

Maple Burger taste: thick patties and fresh toppings

The Maple Burger is packed with toppings, so it was seriously thick. Considering the amount and quality of the toppings, the price felt reasonable.

Just looking at the cross-section, you can tell this is a top handmade burger place in Jamsil. The meat patty is thick, and with cheese added, the flavor is the best I've had. If you love cheeseburgers, I'd absolutely recommend this Maple Burger.

The tomato was juicy, and the lettuce was so fresh you could feel the crunch. Lettuce in burgers often goes a bit soggy from the warmth, but at Maple Burger the crunch was still there, and I really felt how fresh it was. My parents, who ate with me, even said it had been a long time since they'd had a burger with toppings this fresh.

The meat patty is thick, so its flavor comes through fully, and the sauce blends wonderfully with the other ingredients. It's the kind of burger where you instantly think, there's not a single gap in the flavor.

Next I tried the Maple Bacon Burger.

The saltiness of the bacon combined with the other ingredients is really good. It's a burger flavor anyone would like, with no hit-or-miss.

Maple Whole Shrimp Burger

The Maple Whole Shrimp Burger was also the best of the best. A thick whole-shrimp patty sits inside, packed with plump, springy shrimp, so the texture was incredible. I like shrimp burgers and eat them often, and this one was seriously delicious in both texture and flavor.
