Hi everyone~ it's Blue Sky.♡ Today I'm bringing you my review of Salon de L, a hair salon I recommend near Wangsimni Station. I'm sharing my color review from the day I walked out with my blotchy hair color tidied up and my hair transformed into smooth, silky strands.

After being exposed to strong UV rays all summer, my hair color had gradually faded into a blotchy mess. I knew I had to do something about it, so after some searching I ended up at Salon de L.

Where is Salon de L? Location and hours at Tenzhill Mall, 2nd floor

Salon de L is located at Unit 115, 2nd floor, Tenzhill Mall, 137 Majang-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul. If you're taking public transit, it's about 756m from Exit 10 of Sinseoldong Station, an easy walk.

Once you go into Tenzhill Mall and head up to the 2nd floor, the salon is easy to find. There's a big, eye-catching Salon de L hair sign on the outside of the building that helped me find my way.

The salon is open from 10 AM to 7 PM and runs on a priority reservation system, so I'd recommend booking ahead before visiting. There's plenty of parking in the building, pets are welcome, and there's Wi-Fi too, so it was a comfortable place to visit with all sorts of conveniences in place.

Walking through the door, the warm, cozy wood-tone interior immediately put me at ease. The whole space was clean and well-kept, so I felt comfortable the entire time I was there.

The person who took care of my hair that day was Salon de L's head designer, Hansol. Hansol holds color diplomas from L'Oréal and Milbon as well as diplomas in Pivot Point and zone-and-section cutting — a serious skill set that gave me confidence. Her signature treatments are design color, layered perms, and tassel perms, which only reassured me further.

The treatment I got this time was the currently popular women's color + recovery clinic + cut package, which took about 2 hours total. During the treatment, they brought me cool, nutty iced solomon's seal tea and snacks, so I was able to relax and enjoy some downtime.

Toning down faded hair from level 7/8 to 5/6: consultation to color

It all started with a detailed one-on-one consultation. My hair had lightened to around level 7/8 and the tone had faded unevenly. After talking it over with designer Hansol, we decided to tone it down and even it out to level 5/6 for a calmer, more intelligent look.

Once the actual treatment began, she carefully applied a pre-treatment scalp protector all over to reduce scalp irritation before coloring.

During the dye application, I could really feel the designer's attention to detail. Since my roots were lighter and my ends darker, she split the chemical process into two different applications to even out the tone.

Recovery clinic and finishing cut

Afterward, I moved to the shampoo station for clinic care. Using premium hair dye and protein treatment, they refilled the lost intercellular substances and electrons inside my hair.

This step is said to not only make the hair healthier but also help the color last longer. Finally, they finished with a cut to neatly trim away the damaged ends.

The designer also shared some handy color-care tips — apparently strong UV exposure and washing with hot water speed up fading. To keep your dyed hair's pretty color lasting longer, she said using a mildly acidic shampoo is the way to go, which was useful info to walk away with.

Before the treatment, my hair was a bright, blotchy level 7/8, and overall it looked frizzy and dry.

After the treatment, it transformed into a tidy, toned-down level 5/6 color. The frizzy hair, after going through the recovery clinic, became so smooth it practically glided through my fingers like silk.

The overall tone of my hair is even and clean now, giving it a much more polished, put-together look. I'm satisfied every time I see my soft hair and well-organized color.

From the detailed one-on-one consultation to the professional technique that minimized hair damage, I really felt head designer Hansol's careful touch throughout. Maybe because of the premium products used, my hair felt more moisturized and healthy than before, even after coloring.
