Seongsu Station burger restaurant after a pop-up visit: bd Burger

After checking out a pop-up in Seongsu, which has more places worth visiting than anywhere else right now, I stopped by bd Burger, a well-known burger spot near Seongsu Station. I've been to a lot of handmade burger places in Seoul, but bd Burger's shrimp burgers, like the grilled shrimp burger and the wasabi shrimp burger, really stood out.

The place has a nice vibe too, a offbeat pick for a date in Seongsu-dong. Here's my honest review of bd Burger, START!!

What does the bd Burger grilled shrimp avocado burger taste like?

The grilled shrimp avocado burger is the signature item at bd Burger near Seongsu Station. It was generously stacked: shrimp with a grilled smoky flavor, bacon, and then onion and tomato on top.

The springy whole shrimp flavor was a work of art, and the avocado kept cutting in with a fresh note, almost like eating at a famous burger joint in New York. The avocado was soft while the shrimp had a rough smoky char, which made them pair even better.

I'd buy the bd Burger grilled shrimp burger again. It's not just the filling; even the bun was chewy.

Why the bd Burger wasabi shrimp burger is my favorite

The wasabi shrimp burger became my favorite at bd Burger, a great date spot in Seongsu-dong. The thick shrimp patty, with its sweetness, and the wasabi mayo sauce that kicks in here and there were a perfect match.

Can you see the size of this Seongsu Station burger..?! It was so big I could hardly get it into my mouth in one bite, but the shrimp burger's presence was unmistakable.

With minced shrimp and whole shrimp inside, the texture was springy and squeaky-fresh. It was the burger of my life.

What's in the bd Burger double cheese burger?

The double cheese burger had a rich, savory flavor that was a work of art even among Seongsu eats.

It was a simple combination of two beef patties, grilled onion and cheese, but a definite one!!

Deep beefy flavor and juices filled my mouth from the two thick patties, and the savoriness of the cheese seemed to upgrade it even more.

There's a set combination you can't skip at bd Burger Seongsu, and I just couldn't pass up the fried eggplant and fried mushrooms.

The fried mushrooms, with great mushroom flavor, and the fried eggplant that melts in your mouth were bd Burger's signatures. They come with chipotle and ranch sauces, and these went wonderfully with the various sides.

I swapped the set composition to order the cheese fries, a combo of thick, savory cheese sauce and French fries, and I kept reaching for them~

Finally, the corn that added some freshness. The natural sweetness of corn and the tangy sauce were just right to eat in the middle of a burger.

bd Burger Seongsu atmosphere: is it good for eating alone?

bd Burger on Seongsu's Yeonmujang-gil looked hip from the outside and had that Seongsu feel.

The atmosphere and menu were easy for eating alone in Seongsu. It felt like regulars also use bd Burger a lot at lunchtime.

The self-bar at bd Burger has everything you need, like water, tissues, disposable gloves, and forks and knives, so you can grab them easily!

bd Burger Seongsu menu and lunch set order

bd Burger, a burger spot near Seongsu Station, had several handmade burgers. I ordered the WASABI SHRIMP, the DOUBLE CHEESE BURGER and the GRILLED SHRIMP AVOCADO.

Verdict: is bd Burger Seongsu worth a return visit?

bd Burger Seongsu, famous for burgers near Seongsu Station, was among the best handmade burger places I've tried in Seoul recently. The bd wasabi shrimp burger and the bd grilled shrimp avocado burger in particular made me book them as my go-again picks.

The springiness of the shrimp comes through, and the other ingredients and sauces are all balanced just right, so I kept reaching for more. I've already strongly recommended it to a friend who asked for Seongsu food tips!!

Next time I revisit bd Burger Seongsu, I'll have to conquer the buldak (fire chicken-style spicy) shrimp burger on my own~^^
