Where is bd Burger Seongsu, and where can you park?

bd Burger Seongsu is on the 2nd floor of a building about an 8-minute walk from Seongsu Station. If you drive, there is no parking fee support, so park at the paid lot of Musinsa Megastore Seongsu and walk over. I was out in Seongsu-dong and craving a quality handmade burger for lunch, so I stopped by bd Burger Seongsu, and it was easy to find.

We came a little after the lunch peak, and luckily we got in with no wait. Still, customers kept coming in while we ate, so it's clearly a popular place.

The interior has a steel look with stylish lighting, and it really gives off that trendy Seongsu-dong mood. The space felt pleasant and the tables were spaced comfortably, so it was easy to relax and eat.

The self-bar on one side has sauces, small plates, forks and knives all neatly arranged, so you can grab what you need right away. (Drinks come with one refill.)

What we ordered at bd Burger: 3 burgers and 2 sides for two

The two of us ordered three burgers (Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi, Big Size Wasabi Shrimp and bd Grilled Shrimp Avocado) and two sides, Butter Garlic Fries and bd Fried Eggplant. We were really hungry that day, so we ordered like pros.

The food came out faster than I expected, and the tray piled full made us smile before we even took a bite. The burgers were stuffed so generously that the ingredients were spilling out.

Big Size Wasabi Shrimp Burger with a thick shrimp patty

The Big Size Wasabi Shrimp Burger was my husband's pick: a thick, crispy fried shrimp patty packed with plump shrimp inside. We tried this one first.

The sharp kick of wasabi cut neatly through the richness of the frying. Every bite had crunch and bounce at once, which made it fun to chew.

bd Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger: light and nutty

My personal favorite was the bd Grilled Shrimp Avocado Burger. Grilled shrimp with a faint smoky char pairs with soft avocado, and the sauce isn't overpowering, so the clean flavor of the ingredients shines. I never got tired of it and enjoyed it to the last bite. I think it suits anyone who likes a clean, upscale taste.

Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi Burger: sweet, salty and a little spicy

The Cheongyang Mayo Bulgogi Burger starts from a familiar bulgogi (marinated beef) sauce, with a little spice from cheongyang chili mayo, and the savory depth was great. The patty was juicy and the vegetables fresh, a flavor anyone would like. The three burgers each had their own charm, so choosing among them was a real pleasure. I was happy to discover a Seongsu Station burger place with such a solid menu.

How were bd Burger's Butter Garlic Fries and fried eggplant?

The sides at bd Burger Seongsu were better than I expected too.

The Butter Garlic Fries, dipped in sweet, nutty garlic sauce and rich cheese, were so savory and salty that I kept reaching for more.

And the bd Fried Eggplant I'd been looking forward to was the textbook case of crispy outside, juicy inside: the shell was crunchy like a snack and the inside moist. It showed me that fried vegetables can be just as nutty and delicious as fried meat.

Is 3 burgers and 2 sides enough for two at bd Burger?

Three burgers for two people at bd Burger Seongsu disappeared in no time because we were having so much fun eating. The Butter Garlic Fries portion was really big, so we left a few behind, but I was craving them again once I got home.

Thanks to the friendly service and the generous ingredients, it was a really satisfying lunch. If I'm out in Seongsu-dong again, I'd love to come back. I recommend it whenever you're craving a tasty handmade burger.
