Wunder Coffee Bar (WUNDER COFFEE BAR) Garden5 branch is a dessert and espresso café in the basement of Hyundai City Mall in Garden5, Songpa, directly across from Gourmet Mui (고메무이). After the Gourmet Mui pot rice (solbap) I enjoyed last time, this time I'm bringing you the Wunder Coffee Bar story!
Honestly, I've been going to Wunder Coffee Bar as my own-money favorite since the Yeokgok main branch and the Songdo Hyundai Outlet branch, and now they've finally opened one in Songpa too!!! Absolutely the best.
After you finish a hearty bowl of pot rice at Gourmet Mui right across the way, Wunder Coffee Bar is just there, catching your eye! I was craving something sweet and cold, or a coffee to finish the meal, and the rich ice cream and coffee looked so good that I walked over like I was hypnotized.
It really feels like a stylish coffee bar somewhere in Europe, and the combo of espresso with soft hojicha or vanilla ice cream is so charming it made me gasp!

A cozy, moody modern wood-toned counter and bar 🤎
Wunder Coffee Bar sits neatly and modernly in the middle of the basement floor of Hyundai City Mall in Garden5. Brick pillars and a warm wood-toned counter come together for a really moody atmosphere.
A fine espresso machine sits solidly on one side of the counter, and the brightly lit menu board and signature ice cream banner catch your eye. It's fun to watch the preparation a little while you order, and since it's an open bar you can see how clean it is, which made me trust it even more.

At Wunder Coffee Bar I ordered the signature Wundergato together with a warm drink! The rich flavor of bittersweet espresso with nutty ice cream was a memorable combination 😋
Wundergato: scoop it up, then mix it like a latte
The look was perfect: soft serve swirled in pretty curves on top of a rich, bittersweet espresso shot. At first I scooped up the nutty, rich ice cream with a spoon, and later I stirred it well with a straw and drank it like a latte. The deep flavor filling my mouth was art.
Warm tea: besides coffee, the citrus grapefruit was seriously good
Besides the coffee, this was seriously good!!!! The citrus grapefruit juice drink, wow.... Apart from the cold ice cream coffee, the warm drinks are full of charm right down to the cup holder, and as an after-meal finisher it warmed me all over.
Verdict: a must-stop dessert café after pot rice at Gourmet Mui ✨
Wunder Coffee Bar Garden5 is right across from Gourmet Mui, so after a filling meal it's the perfect route: you get sweet dessert with no walking around! The mix of nutty, bittersweet coffee with sweet, rich ice cream is so appealing that both coffee lovers and dessert lovers will be satisfied.
If you come to Hyundai City Mall in Garden5, I strongly recommend having a neat bowl of pot rice at Gourmet Mui, then finishing cleanly with a lovely affogato at Wunder Coffee Bar right across the way 👍
