What kind of place is Andover, the Pangyo Western restaurant?
Andover in Pangyo is a Western restaurant on Pangyoyeok-ro 10beon-gil, and both the food and the owner's kindness left me happy. I've been going to Pangyo more often lately, so I've naturally started hunting for good restaurants one by one. This time I found a Western place I was really satisfied with and wanted to share it. It's Andover in Pangyo.
If you're looking for a Western restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Pangyo, I'd love for you to visit at least once. The food quality is great, and the owner was so friendly that I felt good the whole meal.

Andover's atmosphere and table spacing
Andover has a clean, moody interior with soft lighting, and the tables are spaced just right, so you can eat comfortably. The interior was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. It's neither flashy nor bland, so it felt just right for a date or a meal with friends.
The soft lighting also made my photos come out pretty. The tables aren't crammed against other guests, so I could eat in peace.
What did we order at Andover?
At Andover I ordered three dishes I'd wanted to try beforehand, and every one of them was really satisfying.
- Lasagna, the best-seller
- Clam risotto
- Cream jambon fresh pasta
How does the best-seller lasagna taste?
Andover's lasagna has generous meat sauce and cheese between layers of pasta sheets, golden outside and moist inside. It was the dish I was most looking forward to, and I understood why it's the best-seller right after the first bite.
The top was baked golden and nutty, and the inside was moist, so the texture was great too. One bite and the rich flavor filled my mouth, but it wasn't harsh, just deep, so I kept reaching for more. If you love lasagna, I think you'll be really happy with it.

Isn't the clam risotto heavy?
In Andover's clam risotto, the savory clam flavor soaks through the whole dish, and it's creamy without being heavy at all. I like clam dishes in general so I had expectations, and it was far better than I expected.
The rice kept a good bite and wasn't mushy, so I really enjoyed it. There were plenty of clams too, which made eating it fun.

Cream jambon fresh pasta: what's different about fresh pasta?
Andover's cream jambon fresh pasta was personally the most memorable dish, and the fresh pasta had a clearly different texture from regular pasta. The chewy yet soft noodles held the cream sauce really well, and every bite filled my mouth with richness.
The salty flavor of the jambon (Korean-style ham) went really well with the cream, and I never got tired of it. Thanks to the springy texture of fresh pasta, I enjoyed it to the very last bite.
The cream sauce was impressive too. It wasn't just thick and heavy; it was smooth with a rich flavor, so good that I wanted to dip bread in it.
Can you buy Andover's cream sauce separately?
I heard that Andover sells the cream sauce it uses in the restaurant separately. Being able to enjoy this taste at home sounded really appealing. If you like cream pasta, it might be worth buying once.
How was the owner's service at Andover?
When I asked about the menu, the owner explained each item in detail. I was impressed by how sincerely they treat guests. A small kindness like this really raises how satisfying a meal feels.

How much is corkage at Andover?
Corkage at Andover is ₩5,000 per glass, and the owner said the glass fee is free if you bring your own wine glass. Good news for wine lovers!
If you have a wine you like to drink, it seems great to bring it without worry and enjoy it with the food. I liked this thoughtful way of running things.
The calm atmosphere also seemed perfect for an anniversary meal or a date. Every dish came out beautifully plated, so taking photos was fun, and I was happy with the looks as well as the taste. If you're looking for a good Western restaurant in Pangyo, please remember Andover.

Is Andover worth a return visit?
At Andover the lasagna is the signature dish you have to order, and the clam risotto and cream jambon fresh pasta were just as good, with nothing lacking. I'd recommend all three: the fresh pasta that made it extra special, the richly flavored lasagna, and the savory risotto.
Above all, the owner's kind service and the cozy atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. I want to try other dishes next time, so I do plan to come back. If you're looking for a Western restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Pangyo, a date spot or an anniversary restaurant, I confidently recommend Andover.
