The weather finally turned perfect for the Han River. Knowing this window wouldn't last long, we rushed over for a river picnic. Usually I'd just grab a basic mat rental, but this time I wanted a proper aesthetic Han River picnic — so along with renting a mat at Mangwon Han River Park, we rented a full picnic set and had ourselves a girls' day!

We visited Picnic List, a mat rental shop by Mangwon Han River Park. Yeouido just isn't great for an aesthetic picnic, so we came to Mangwon Han River Park instead, and since the river gets so crowded these days, we booked the day before.

Picking up the gear: from the shop counter to the wagon

The shop is full of pretty props perfect for an aesthetic picnic. Since we'd booked ahead, we just gave our name and the staff loaded everything into the wagon for us. The picnic mats come in different colors too — tell them your preference and they'll match it. We didn't specify, so we got red, and it turned out gorgeous, haha. Totally recommend red.

They also had board games, so after some back and forth we rented two — and it was such a good call lol. We had so much fun playing. You might think you don't really need them, but games make the picnic way more fun. Highly recommend renting board games too.

We decided to go all out for a proper luxurious picnic, so we rented a ton of stuff, loaded it into the wagon, and headed to Mangwon Han River Park. We rented so much that pulling the wagon was seriously heavy.

It might seem like a lot, but setting everything up like this made the picnic sooo good!!!! Do this for your girlfriend, seriously.

Can two people put up the parasol on their own?

We originally planned to get a shade tent but went with a parasol instead — it turned out way bigger than expected, blocked the sun perfectly, and looked so pretty. Great choice. I thought the parasol setup would be hard, but even two clumsy women who couldn't do anything managed to set it up and take it down all by ourselves. If we could do it, literally anyone can, haha.

Heart-shaped pizza takeout and the wine set rental

Honestly, even though I've been to the Han River park plenty of times, I'd never set up a picnic this properly before, and it turned out even better than expected. We picked up heart-shaped pizza to go from a nearby restaurant, and rented a wine set from Picnic List Mangwon to enjoy with convenience store canned wine too. I'll post separately about the heart pizza place.
