Euljiro wine bar for a second round with a ₩39,000 white: Chin & Nose

Today I'm at Chin & Nose (친앤노즈), a wine bar by Euljiro 3-ga Station, for a drink in Euljiro. Let's get straight to the review!!

Where is Chin & Nose and how do you get up there?

Chin & Nose is a wine bar on the 3rd floor of a building right in front of Euljiro 3-ga Station. There's a sign out front, and since it's on the 3rd floor you have to take the stairs. There was no elevator!

Is Chin & Nose better for a first round or a second round?

Chin & Nose is a Euljiro bar I'd recommend for both first and second rounds. Check the photo slides for the menu! There's grilled sea bass, salad, pizza, pasta, steak and sashimi, which are good for a first round, and fries, burrata cheese, cake and croquettes, which are nice for a second round.

For drinks, there was a wide range of wines. Red, white, rosé and sparkling, plus cocktails, beer, whiskey and soft drinks, so you can pick whatever suits you.

What are the interior and seating like at Chin & Nose?

They lit a candle on our table, which made the mood even better, haha. The candle design is so pretty and it works way too well… the smoke kept drifting toward my face, so I took one photo and blew it out, lol.

After ordering, I took a lap around the inside of Chin & Nose. The space is big and the tables are spaced widely apart, so it felt comfortable and relaxed.

The atmosphere was really good, so it's a great Euljiro wine bar for a date, haha. The tables are far apart, and it's quiet too.

The air conditioning is also blasting, so it's a nice place to come in from the sweltering summer heat and have a cool drink. The space is decorated in a mix of concepts,

and it was exotic and pretty, haha. The staff were kind too, so we had a lovely time.

Does it work for solo drinks, dates and group gatherings?

There's a bar table at the back of Chin & Nose, which is good for drinking solo or going on a date, and there's group seating too, so I'd also recommend it for a group gathering or company dinner in Euljiro!

How much is a bottle of wine at Chin & Nose?

Bottles at Chin & Nose start in the high ₩30,000s, so it's a wine bar where you can set a mood without overspending, haha. We ordered a bottle of white.

They opened the bottle for us and poured the first glass like this, which was nice, haha.

The white we chose was Viña San Esteban Classic, ₩39,000 a bottle, haha. Even as a full bottle it's cheap and good value, so I think it's great for a casual night out. It's a dry white wine, so it's an easy one that almost anyone will enjoy, haha.

Viña San Esteban Classic is 13% ABV, so if you gulp it down because it's tasty, it'll get you tipsy, haha.

The wine came in an ice bucket, so we could keep drinking it nice and cold, which was great.

What did we order at Chin & Nose for the second round?

We came for a second round, so we kept our order light at Chin & Nose. Our order came out first.

Watermelon & burrata salad

The watermelon & burrata salad comes with burrata cheese, seasonal fruit and an herb oil dressing, haha. Over really sweet, delicious watermelon, there's plenty of burrata, herbs, nuts and oil dressing.

The cheese is soft and nutty, the watermelon is tasty, and you can taste the freshness of the herbs, so it was a perfect dish to have with wine.

You cut it with a knife into bite-sized pieces, and the cheese and watermelon pairing was surprisingly good, haha.

Truffle oil fries

We also ordered the truffle oil fries, and the thick fries came out freshly fried and were so good, haha.

You could taste the fragrance of the truffle too, so I really enjoyed them, haha.
